Sweet solo games in Fortnite. 3 wins in 4 games (nowhere in the other) KDR of 10.
The best win was a Gandhi game. No shots fired. No damage taken. I stalked the first loser round his building and outpsyched them He/she trapped itself in the building and died in the storm. I didn't even need to heal. I just stood outside and watched. Satisfying.

If they haven't done anything else these lockdowns have been excellent for improving my ability to kill teenagers online.
Four stars. Recommended

Bollocks: The Bonkers NP2 game has just gone tits up... My blue and red circle allies are fighting way up North fighting the green Czech brothers and are going to bed. Wimps. Why join a 15m a move game and expect to sleep ffs. Anyway ... The Pink Party is giving me their undivided attention - but red square, the perpetual noob, Marky Mark (what a tool he is) - has turned pink too, so I have all three giving me the benefit of their combined amassed ships. I'm good, but not that fucking good. Update: I've fought off 3 waves of attacks, but my allies are still asleep ... I'm 900 ships short of beating off one attack and all along the frontier other attacks are coming in which I can only just stop ... AND there's the same number of ships again to come and nothing to stop them - behind THAT I can see a third and a fourth wave... tbh their tactics are awful; if they had fully committed at a single sector I would have lost too many high resource stars to fight back at 3 a.m. Very inefficient. But many wolves will eventually kill the old bear! AND in 30m I will be afk for at least 2-3h as Nursey is due. It's a blessing really.

The Emperor's New ClothesIt's the birthday of the internet and it's arguably in a worse state than it's ever been. Most of the world has either no, intermittent or circumscribed access... most efforts at control are to either promote the spread of propaganda (i.e. Russian hacking)) or limit the flow of information e.g China, Burma et al. But I am particularly incensed by this: NFTs... www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/what-is-nft-art-meaning-b1815208.htmlUnquestionably this is a bubble comparable to the .com one, but its impact is to artificially inflate the price of semiconductors as they are key components of the graphics cards used in fabricating Non Fungible Tokens... Thus the new Nvidia graphics cards are not only scarce, but getting scarcer. Now digital artworks are being similarly sold. There's no difference barring size between this and what somebody's paid $70m for. A Beeple digital collage artwork sold for nearly $70 million at the British auction house Christie's on Thursday So it's going to be a very very long time before I get my new fucking PC, but what's much more significant is that the growth of the internet is being crippled by the bubble, just when it's most needed.

1992. Uni computer labs, Telnet'ng to UCL who had the JANET pipe to the internet. From there the world!
Morning. Dunno if I'll be able to handle headcrabs. Things like that give me the dry boak. Couldn't play fallout 4 cause of the giant roaches.
Blowing someone's brains out? No bovver Guv'nor.

I got my first email address in 1995, though barely used it. It was 1996 before I received my formal introduction to the full possibilities of the Internet when I opened a machine in a university computer lab and found that someone had left a search open for 'Lithuanian sex dwarves'.

I also got my first email address in 1995.
I was aware of the vast possibilities of the internet because of the film ‘War Games’. The first thing I remember searching for was a Spacemen 3 website... I sat in a computer lab and watched the page appear, line by line, over the space of 20 minutes. I got disgruntled and left.

Talking of sweet Fortnite wins:
Here a "sweat" (someone who utilises the game's build function particularly well) has killed by brother in a tense duo match and now it's between Daany-BMW93 and myself for the win. I tried to hack his building down but I think due to a bug or the fence it still stays up hovering in the air. So I waited for him to finally come down for the FINAL BATTLE.
I also got this sweet duo wipe in PUBG.

My first commercial email I used was my name and a non de-plume one "el-presidente". Then some shit band decided to use that name. "Oh you like the band..."

I didn't use the internet until around 2000 and only then because my brother got into Medal of Honour. My first email was a BT internet based on my name that I created in the early noughties. BT promptly then removed the access to all of these unless you bought their broadband or some shit.

The internet. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. One must be cautious.
While it has undoubtedly benefitted humanity in genera, it has led to the intense polarisation of ideas and politics. There is no grey-area anymore.
I think it was 1996-97 when I first went online, and grabbed my Yahoo! email address. I wasn’t going to be tied to a dial-up provider’s whims, no sirree! No, I was going to have an email address with a big company that couldn’t fail.
Oh.

I was aware of the vast possibilities of the internet because of the film ‘War Games’. As a youth I wondered how long it would take after getting a 2400 baud modem for Ally Sheedy to come round and show me her breasts. I don't think 13yr old boys are so desperate nowadays. I might be wrong.

I didn't use the internet until around 2000 and only then because my brother got into Medal of Honour. Should've played Soldier of Fortune. I believe there was a level where you had to save Kosovans from the nasty Serbs. I shot everyone. This is what happens when you've spent an entire day interviewing Albanians who are masquerading as Kosovans.
The Government made me do it.

I think I got my first email address in 1998.
I'm still waiting for that Nigerian Prince to transfer the funds. He says he's finally got everything sorted, and it should be next week. At last!!!

Internet: Late 1995. There wasn't that much there. Or at least not much I knew how to access.. Bristol did not give out email addresses at that time. You might have been able to get one if you were a computer scientist.
Email Late 98 or early 99 at work. Initially it was internal only. They only had one pc on the internet at first. I don't think I had a private email address until 2000. Freeserve. They were the big UK company in internet access at the time. I still have a Freeserve install disc somewhere
Yahoo! still exists. It is part of BT now. I know this because my sky email is provided by BT Yahoo.
Scubar I refer to any Fortnite game I don't manage to shoot a weapon as a Gandhi game. Pacifist protest. I am not some monster nuking everything. Mostly because there are no nukes in the game.
Firing but not killing anyone is just inept. Not firing a single shot is a protest against commodified violence. A successful protest if I win the game.

Have an interview for a job that I applied for entirely on spec, and can’t remember anything about. And the job description which I luckily managed to save, is vague as hell.
That’ll go well, I’m sure.
