Started snowing here about an hour ago. It's quite hypnotic. Watching it out the window while waiting for Final Fantasy XV to install, so I can see if it's as much of a let down as people say.
Working from home is the best.
Also refreshing Diplomacy

It's been snowing lightly, but the icy wind is absolutely brutal. Even with the radiator on full blast the bedroom is cold. My gaming room and the lounge are the only warm spots in the house. So... gaming is inevitable. Sorry, it's the weather, can't do anything about it.

I’m still in the office. This is what you get for living 20 minutes walk from work.

Had to defrost 2 pipes this morning before 6.30 so my bath would empty. Feeling has yet to return to my toes. I've got to do the same this evening on a ladder. Any tips?
Mine were plastic pipes and I used water straight from a kettle - they made some alarming creaky groany noises before they freed up, so maybe use warm rather than scalding water - even more so if you're juggling things up a ladder, I don't think mine split, but they were outlets so not under mains pressure.
Oh and since my bathing habits are a thing today, i haven't got a shower fitted.... so early-baths it is

I’m meant to be getting something delivered today, apparently the delivery guy is still on his way. Kind of worried I’m sending him to his death

It's an old 1960s council house so the pipes are cast iron. Only problem I've got is there's plenty of pipe. Hot water certainly seems like a better option that hairdryer on a stick.

When my combi-boiler pipes freeze, I use a hairdryer to defrost them. Mybe you could try that as well as the boiling water?
I can't see how a bunch of Chatterboxers up a ladder, in a windy blizzard, bucket of boiling water in one hand and multi-extension corded hairdryer in the other could be anything but a recipe for success.

Zero-hours contract worker freezes to death delivering parcel to ex-carillion employee.
The Guardian would love that

It's usually those annoying stupid sexy flip flop acrobat twins that do me on the boat and i use too many lives/specials/continues. they are a drain on your lives, especially the second encounter. I found walking away from them and then jump kicking them when they get close can really reduce the number of lives you lose.

It's a small guest room that I've appropriated by making sure that no-one wants to stay with us, with a sofa, that, when converted into a small double bed, practically fills the whole room. Good for reading, working on a computer and gaming. It's also the home of the cat, who's not allowed in our bedroom because we value a good night's sleep. How's Subnautica? Met any Leviathans yet?

In the distance, though I've been distracted by another game, so it's on hold at the moment, my start again with the water/food option off, I prefer to explore, build stuff and follow the story without worrying about dying of starvation etc

Damn, despite at one point being less than a mile from my house, the delivery guy isn’t turning up today.

Schools are off tomorrow as is Mrs Crank. My peaceful* Friday will now not happen.
Had Bolognese out the freezer for dinner. Had a wee go of bf1 story mode as the internet was being flaky. Possibly watching Thor Ragnor tonight.
Still no milk round here. Those pesky vegans messing with the weather to stop deliveries. I'm onto them!
(I really wish I had access to loads of twitter bots. I'd so spread that) *Small gaming window followed by frantic house cleaning.

Anyone else here into watching Toast? Just started getting into it and it's pretty good so far.
And the sodding key froze in the front door lock. Another neat cold weather occurrence to watch out for. What's that? You would need to be pretty stupid to leave the key in there anyway for hours in this weather? Why yes, yes you would.

The local cat is restless because she thinks that the temperature in the house is below the feline comfort zone. She's been told that her cousin in Scotland can't even go out because the snow there is essentially cat-high. She's providing entertainment by first jumping onto and then falling off the coffee table.
Steak for dinner, BDT courtesy of Tullamore D.E.W. which was on offer at Ocado. Stole my first little pony in Skyrim, but it wasn't exactly faster for getting around.
