Sometimes I feel old, then I come here and you’re all chuntering away about Spectrum ZX, Chuckie Egg and the like, and I think thank god I’m not as old as you dinosaurs. If you were you would have been vaccinated by now.

On the plus side you'll be able to make hot drinks without a kettle.
On the downside I'm using the last iceberg to cool my G&Ts.
Probaby shouldn't have treated J G Ballard as a Haynes manual for earth.

When we're all gone it'll just be Scubar sitting by the fire, his voice hushed and his knuckles white on the head of his cane as he tells his grandchildren about the wise elders who used to regale him with wondrous tales of the graphics on Enduro Racer and how hard it was to cross the road on Horace Goes Skiing.

Fighter Bomber and Stunt Car Racer also had full polygons. Have a feeling they may also have been in full monochrome. Was Stunt Car Racer out on the Speccy? I had/have it for the Amiga and it is in wonderful colour.

I am lurking outside the covid jab place, everyone else coming in and out is much older than me. I wonder if some clerical fuck up has resulted in me being called up now. Maybe they've seen your face.

Typical anti-Amstrad CPC464 bias that I've come to expect from a bunch of Spectrum establishment stooges with their snouts in the trough.

My ... boon companion / preferred mammal, has just brought me back a three-pack of Daim bars.
Boodiful. If wealth is measured in crunchy almond caramel covered in smooth milk chocolate, then I am rich indeed.

Someone recently ported Pinball Dreams to the CPC, and very impressive it is too. The hardware was certainly very capable versus the Spectrum. Not that I had any time for any other machine but the Amiga back then

Daim bar cheesecake. Oof. I'd imagine if you and a pal were stoned you could probably eat one out the freezer not properly thawed at 4am. Pissing off his then wife as it was for her mum visiting. Probably.
The painters are gone. Place looks good. Got a couple of beers in the fridge for later.

Pinball dreams is available as an app on iPad. Small screen, but a fairly accurate port.

I loved Elite on the BBC B, once I'd got a joystick and had the game loaded to an EPROM so it didn't take forever to load... Trying to dock using the keyboard was a nightmare ...
