All the BBC radio stations have the coverage. Insane in the membrane I don't have a problem with it being the main news item, but the coverage is overkill. Back in the day you got a 20 word report in the next day's paper and that was it. More than enough. |

I was particularly annoyed as at that time I was an afficionado of Bamber Boozle's trivia quiz on page 150. Bamber Boozler was on C4, not Ceefax. I had moved to London on the Saturday. In preparation for my first proper job starting 1 September 1997. On the pus side it provided an easyish topic of conversation on my first day at work. Apart from the vaguely awkward silence after I made a drink driving joke. |
