A volcano lair with a balcony? Goldfinger really missed a trick there.
Glad she's ok.

Ham and cheese sandwich.
I'm thinking about making another one.

A volcano lair with a balcony? Goldfinger really missed a trick there. Glad she's ok. Goldfinger didn't have a good relationship with his neighbours, either, not after the incident with the laser beam that caused a power cut. (Edit: A pedant writes: volcanic lair is maybe more Dr No's style?)

If Sauron had had a gift shop and café with outside seating at Sammath Naur he might have delayed the hobbits enough to stop the ring being destroyed.

Or they might have bought replica rings and 'accidentally' destroyed the wrong one.

"Francisco Scaramanga was a British national born in a travelling circus. His father was the ringmaster, a former Cuban national and his mother was the snake charmer. By age 10, he was part of the circus as a trick-shot pistol marksman. At age 15, he became an international assassin-for-hire."
Does Tids have an extra nipple?

Morning, Finished the story missions in GTAV last night, for the fifth time. Deciding between HZD and Days Gone next. Games chat. HZD

Scubar is correct.
HZD is tremendous. Can't wait for the sequel.

HZD is boring. I lost patience with it a couple of hours in.

Interesting. Days Gone it is! Robot dinosaurs. If that doesn’t get you going, you’re dead inside.

Anybody had any good audiobooks lately? I’ve been sent a free trial to Audible, and don’t want to waste my credits.

They're both good so you can't lose. Like watching V**** and W*lv*s scrap over a relegation spot. God I miss those days.

The Jeeves Collection and Sherlock Holmes: The definitive collection, both read by Stephen Fry, both good. For a one off novel I really liked Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell read by Simon Prebble.

Hello
I'm in a funk. Maybe I ate too much sugar. I don't know.
This whole European Super League thing is getting me down. I feel massively out of step with my fellow human being. Is my moral compass really so different? I feel so ambivalent / indifferent about the whole thing, yet there's all this talk of 'shame' and 'disgrace' and 'never forgiving.'
I don't understand.

You are dead on the inside. The idea that Tottenham Hotspur are part of the European elite should have made you furious.

I have no interest in football. But was amused by sky sports getting pissed off. Like they're a charity showing the games for nothing to housebound pensioners.

Sky circle jerked it over the news. There was fan uproar, the main problem being that a greedy breakaway league was going to ruin Sky and the PL. I guess irony can be pretty ironic.

Basically there is a whole generation of football supporters whose sacred gospels have proclaimed that the Sky Premier League is sacrosanct, and also that the only way to process emotions is through outrage.

I'm now trying to imagine what Auric Goldfinger would be like as a neighbour. He didn't / doesn't come across as a sex person so there wouldn't be the usual noise we get from the one side. I don't think he'd have qualms about cooking up methamphetamine in his flat. To be honest, though, I think he'd be a bit more careful and business-like in his approach compared to our other neighbours. The corridor would be a bit quieter, especially at night.
On balance it's a thumbs up from me, for Herr Goldfinger.
