Late night last night, following the implosion of the European Super League.

Have been rewatching classic X Files episodes. So far:

Ice (s1 e8), Squeeze (s1 e3), Beyond the Sea (s1 e13) and Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose (s3 e4)

That is all.

I expected the natural evolution of the ESL was a further split of the top 8 clubs a few years down the line then a further split and so on until it was just Real Madrid vs Real Madrid B every Wednesday. It would follow the WWF formula and the result would be determined beforehand and the "players" would act out their required performance on the pitch. Real Madrid B would be 0 - 2 up with a few minutes left then Ronaldo would climb out the crowd and whip of his tracksuit to show a full Madrid kit and then proceed to score a hatrick.

I, for one, believe the above is worth fighting for.

Cloudy, quite fresh out.

Particularly as it takes place in the depths of winter. A real treat.

I watched Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood last night with Richard Harris stealing the show, thought it was pretty good. I want to watch more Clint Eastwood films now.

Yesterday briefly turned on bake off only to see a lad who bore a startling resemblance to the Giga Chad. Has the internet become manifest and is taking over the world? Is B1gDave2010 coming for me next? Is B1gDave2010 actually the Giga Chad?

Games. Err, The Division 2. A mooch about the Dark Zone. All low levels and nobody went rogue. In saying that. I held down the 'T' key as I thought that was the chat key. Turns out it makes you go rogue. As we were 20s from the chopper leaving I had to run away so folk realised my intentions weren't to steal their stuff.

Sunny out. The guys who painted the exterior of our house have now done the PM's folks fence, are now doing a neighbour's house and are looking at fixing a wall for another neighbour. How's about a bung lads?

Finished the story missions in GTAV last night, for the fifth time.

Deciding between HZD and Days Gone next.

Games chat.

So I made bank this morning with my turnips. This will go a long way towards the 10 million Bells profit achievement.

Bit of Xenoblade Chronicles last night. I had been lying in wait at Raguel Lake, waiting for a thunderstorm so that White Eduardo would show up. First it was just raining without a storm, then the sun came out. I changed the time repeatedly, no luck. I carried on with the story but didn't want to get lost inside the ether mines without completing this quest, so I warped back to the lake and bingo! Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening, EduardoGalileo. White Eduardo turned out to be a complete pushover. 

The same cannot be said for the Elegant Marin at Glowmoss Lake that kicked my backside twice although it's only one level higher than me. My excuse is that I'm absolutely certain that my AI companions weren't pulling their weight in the second battle. 

OTTM: my mum had been enjoying the sunny weather sitting on her balcony. When she got up she used the chair to steady herself, it collapsed and she fell. She couldn't get up, but luckily a neighbour heard her cries for help and called police and ambulance. They rescued her and took her to the hospital, fortunately she's completely okay and returned home the same day. Now she's complaining that she no longer has a chair to sit outside, but my brother is on the case and is trying to get a new one delivered to her secret volcano lair. This is not the kind of excitement anyone needed right now but at least she's none the worse for it.
