I’ve seen the first 45 minutes of Mortal Kombat. Great so far, exactly what you’d expect. Kano is absolutely stealing it.

Hello. Last night I watched 'Stan and Ollie'. I liked it. Steve Coogan really nailed the voice. It was also Alex McLeish's finest film performance since 'Gothenburg 83'. 4 stars.
Also watched episode 2 of 'Mare of Easttown', which has a terrible title but is v good. 4 stars.

It's a game changer when you hit 30. The crafting bench etc. Spreadsheet central.
Hello. Couple of games of Fortnite and then some apex legends. Watching the person who killed me play on was something else in Fortnite. The building is phenomenal.
Anyway, I just sliced my thumb chopping an apple so my callup for Team Faze and the scuff sponsorship are probably now going to take a backseat.

You don't need to build brilliantly to win at Fortnite. but it is worth learning how to throw a wall down with a ramp leading up to it quickly as this will suffice for most fights in the open. By the time the opponent has blasted the wall and ramp down you should have got a few good shots off yourself and then they have to reload too.
There are so many bots and bad players now you should drop into a town at the start to ensure you get kitted out quickly. Also, make sure you upgrade the makeshift weapons as the bloom on those is awful and the game has removed first shot accuracy. The usual blue AR, or the purple or gold scar are the best primary weapon. Then have a shotgun (proper pump or primal) as your secondary gun for close up stuff. There are no snipers anymore so use whatever you want in third slot then carry potions and med kits in the other.
As you travel to the next circle always ensure no one is behind you and try to move on the outside and only cut in when you have to.

Morning all. I’m running some very boring reports in work so thought would have a look on here for a change. TV - we started watching tales from the loop on a friends suggestion. Don’t know how I feel about it. Very slow. Takes itself very seriously. 2 episodes in & my girlfriend likes it so that’s something. Games - trying to stay off football manager as it’s ruining my life. Gone back and started cyberpunk on ps5 as a corpo. I’m almost back to where I was on PS4 after 10 hours. Played 20 on the PS4 so most of that will have been crashing / laughing at bugs. Enjoying it. Still a bit janky but loads better

Morning.
Watched the first episode of 'Line of Duty' last night. It was just a load of people standing around looking stressed. Not sure what all the fuss is about.
There is, however, a niggling doubt in the back of my mind that I'm doing it wrong.

I'd suggest picking 2 or 3 areas to land in. Land away from the bus flight line, but make sure you can get plenty of weapons. Slurpy swamp is good for getting weapons and armour, but can be busy. There is a quiet beach to the west where you can get weapons to start with.
I'd suggest AR, SMG, Shotgun, spare armour , healing Though the bows are quite good and won't give your position away unless you are actually seen.
Once you go I'd go straight to the centre of the circle and hide. Avoid fighting on the way. The advantages of being in the centre of the circle outweigh the disadvantages. You'll have a lot less distance to any new circle. It gives you time to select where you want to be. And whether you want to fight. For preference I'd hide in a big bush, though a small one that completely conceals you is ok.
I'd avoid fighting for the most part. It will get you killed. And gives away where you are even if you win the fight. Once you are down to the last few remaining hidden is a massive advantage. Ideally I start to think about fighting in a solo game once we are down to 3 people. I want the other two to engage and then I'll turn up at the end of their fight and pick off the winner. The last few people tend to be quite competent. I don't normally build for defence. I'm too slow at it. And my fingers get on the wrong buttons.
The fighting is harder in duos as you need to know where both parties are ideally. A the start of the game this is less necessary as people split up to get weapons. Getting shot in the back as you stalk someone is pretty aggravating.
These tactics can work even if you are early late-40s. I have won quite a lot of matches recently.

hi...
What was your Monday like?
Mine was ok. I played 'PUBG' with some friends. I did much better than I've ever done before, but I don't want to boast.
I don't want to, but ... we won a game. I got seven kills (in another game). In a Team Death Match I also managed to kill / assist more than I got killed myself. For the first time I actually benefitted the team I was on.
That is / was the essence of my evening.

Sometimes in a team game you can benefit your team by providing a convenient target for the opposition to focus on, freeing up the rest of your team to win the game.
I like to think of this as being a particularly valuable contribution.

Or just play Duos, die early, and wait for your partner to get the win by hiding in a bush, not firing a shot, and letting the second place team kill themselves. The one game of 'PUBG' we won yesterday we won without any kills at all. Well - my one friend got two kills, but then he was downed ... I ran about for a bit, firing off shots. At the end we found ourselves in a farmhouse with a man on a hill nearby. I fired my shotgun a few times - the auditory equivalent of making yourself big like a bear. He was too terrified to approach and the electromagnetic storm got him. I like this game too much. I sometimes look for GIFs to demonstrate how much I like it. They are all quite violent ...

Hard to accept that seeing all this terrible Fortnite chat is somehow inevitable. Surely I could have changed my destiny somehow, like in the movies.
