Hi. I had an amazing day yesterday - incredibly productive at work and a fulfilling evening of wholesome family games and conversation. Nah, not really. I did watch a bit of BBC though, and had a fish supper for tea.

I've always liked the phrase "Fish supper".

Hello you lot.
Gamesblog: none, again.
TVblog: Babylon 5, first episode of the third series. Marcus Cole is aboard! And the Whitestar has been introduced. Phwoar! on both counts.
Cameraclubblog: competition night. Judge got hung up on the title of one of my images, then stated that they don’t judge based on the title. Then scored the image (poorly) based on the title. And so, at the end of the season, I went from first place in the set-subject comps to fourth place. Ta muchly.
Foodblog: yesterday’s dinner was bulgogi, using leftover pork and apple sauce. I also tried some of the kimchi my mate had made... bloody hell, that’s got a kick. All the stars.

I’m fully vaccinated.
No side effects yet.
Games - it was our Deadlands RPG night last night, escorted the cattle rustlers back to town and while waiting for the train out of Dodge (the towns actually called Carter), we stumbled upon a guy who was being haunted by the ghost of his family cow. Turned out there was a pit of ghost cows, so we dumped a barrel of oil over the waist deep ichor of thousands of dead mutant cows and set fire to it.
I think we invented BBQ.
Other games. I’m playing Root (the iOS app) and it’s good fun. It works as an asynchronous game, just, I think I prefer playing it on Tabletop Simulator- feel it needs everyone to be in place. Wonder if there’s room for the boardgame in my collection.

Gaming night
The night began with a warm up duo match which my brother and I won. At the end the other duo took up position on the top of the hill to try to dominate proceedings. But we knocked one from below and then I went up there and took care of business:
On to Trios from that point and the next game we came across the final other two teams fighting it out in Retail Row so we picked off the winners from the safety of height and with the circle on our side. The ending to this game was truly epic with the last opponent putting up a hell of a fight. A real gem of an ending with 8 kills for me:
We then didn't win our next match, but did find good form again in the following match with the trio ripping apart the remaining two teams at the end, with yours truly blasting away two players before sealing the deal with a shotgun to the face for my 9th kill. Boom!
The final game of the night was our hardest earned win. We were sandwiched between two teams who built up and fortified their positions. Therefore myself and Mortez peeled off and entered the fort of the team on the left and killed them up close and personal with the Primal Shotgun (not seen in this clip) before saving my downed brother and defeating the other team by picking them off from distance and then descending on the final player where Mortez got the final kill. 10 kills for me here:

Some decent building in those videos, Banyfark - if Brett Anderson sees them, I imagine he'll stroke his chin and nod approvingly.

Hi
Gmz: After downloading all the games, I had a quick try of Deadlight. Interesting...verrrry interesting.
Idea for a TV show Lynn. A new episode of Inspector Morse ("LEWIS!") with maybe Ronnie Osullivan playing Lewis, not decided on Morse yet. Anyway, it sees Morse investigating a spate of gruesome murders on the Brighton camera club scene. They'll be police corruption, BLOOD! and lots of devious maniacs.
OTTM, Friday!

Watched a video of a custom mech keyboard being built for some Fortnite pro. $3500 one off thing. Madness.
Looked and sounded sweet though. One day baby, one day.

And my world ranking for Trios is 9,357. Thinking of going pro. Are we boasting about Fortnite rankings now? 9,357 is not big league. fortnitetracker.com/profile/all/psn(Mini-me2007)I should have a twitch channel. Is there a market for a Brummie hiding in a bush and making the same little bush/big bush joke repeatedly?

Alternatively I should do something healthier like becoming a turnip monopolist in Animal Crossing

Actually my trio ranking has now improved to around 5,000 overnight. I suspect these rankings may not be 100% accurate.

I've played it on the laptop but not actually on the board - as a board game. I will do some day.

I played Player Unknown's Battlegrounds yesterday. I played awfully and let everyone down. The bots seems to have been replaced by real people. They gave us a pasting.
