We have always been at war with France.

Drink* Jim?
Probably not a French red. We need to save our stocks.

No way I'm voting Tory today unless I get confirmation those gunboats are blaring out the Dambusters theme or Vera Lynn's greatest hits.

One of those ships (HMS Severn) was off the coast of Brighton on Saturday so they must have known something was up.
Exactly how Amipal swan out to join it with all those cameras around his neck I'll never know.

Exactly how Amipal swan out to join it with all those cameras around his neck I'll never know. Is the length of swan neck equivalent to number of cameras you can get around it or does it mean longer lenses? Games; a little skyrim but otherwise in a rut. Home office is very quiet today, no tea boy to be seen.

Not only have the French been celebrating Napoleon, they now want to invade Britain.
You couldn’t make it up.

Fighting talk from the head of the Jersey Fishermen's Union on the radio just now. My blood is up. I am thinking of LARPing Charlie Hungerford today in solidarity.

Isn't it about now that a Labour MP or activist pops up saying we should give Jersey back?
There's a real foot-shooting moment here and I can't imagine it being missed.

Bravo on the pic Admin, great stuff.
So a Belgium farmer moved a stone and the following day we're at war with France, see how quickly this stuff escalates?
I also dabbled with Skyrim. It's heavily modded and all the children are invisible for some reason, you can just see their clothes walking around all ghoul like.

I've never modded Skyrim, is it mainly graphics mods you use?

The French have long envied the pluck of Britain in the Battle of Dunkirk. Now they’ve seen fit to assemble a small ship flotilla of their own

I've never modded Skyrim, is it mainly graphics mods you use? All manner of mods, ranging from graphics to bigger boobs and realistic wind to more animal variety. I will have to disable a few at a time to find the culprit.

Send in the full fleet. It's the only way they'll learn.
Morning
More Deadlight: Directors Cut. Just two levels of Act 3 left so should get 100% completion before Resident Evil VIIIage arrives Friday (its already been despatched today 😁).
Roll on the weekend.

You must trust a Frenchman as you would the devil himself.
Morning all.
Classic Twitter: “Tories sending gunboats to protect tax haven” As if any other party wouldn’t send Offshore Protection Vessels to monitor such a maritime situation around a Crown Dependency... They live in the own little bubble, that Twitter lot.
Gamesblog:
TVblog: that fixing-shed-thing on BBC1. Followed by that sewing-bee-thing, also on BBC1. And then Babylon 5. “Messages From Earth”, a proper Earth Force/Clarke/Shadows episode, and a good bit of action mixed in with the intrigue.
Warhermitblog: work continues on painting Dwarf Rangers. And I’ve also inventorised what’s in all the various boxes scattered around the study and loft. I have a lot of war dollies from various systems: WFB, 40k, Necromunda, Epic Armageddon, Battlefleet Gothic.

Hello again I spent a while playing Resident Evil 4 yesterday. I've now go to what feels like an inevitable end point. It happens with almost every game I've ever played. My man is running around the play area, with no baddies to kill and no doors that will open. I've begun to wonder whether I've run into a game-ending bug. It feels like there's a 50 percent chance of it being a game ending bug, and a 50 percent chance of me just being terrible.
Actually, make it a 99 percent chance of me just being terrible.

Send in the full fleet. It's the only way they'll learn. The French couldn’t have planned it better - the bulk of the fleet is off Scotland at the moment, engaged in Exercise Strike Warrior.

Intergalactic I have now finished all episodes. It was pretty, terrible.
I got the impression the writer and director lacked confidence in their material so added more and more things in. Consequently nothing got room to play out. Just one set piece crisis after another with little differentiation between them. Also the character under suspicion changed constantly with each crisis. The whole effect is poor.
There was also some absolute bobbins in the last episode. Binary stars cannot be so close together that the safe passage would only be a couple of ships wide. Also the planet orbited at a safe distance. Given the ability to cover vast distances there was no reason to go anywhere near the stars.
Piss poor. A missed opportunity given the budget spent.
4 stars recommended.

When Scotland is Independent we should have another new referendum on renewing the Auld Alliance. Keep Global England in check. "Primarily it was a military and diplomatic alliance but for most of the population it brought tangible benefits through pay as mercenaries in France's armies and the pick of finest French wines." Fine wine and Merc work for the many not the few.
