We have always been at war with France. Meet our unlikely hero, the rebellious Winston SmithJohnson, as he turns his country into Airstrip 1.

Tenth Enemy Tinfoil Millinery Have you been selling a lot of stuff in NI? the sheeple are truly awoken. It’s MI5 this and mind-control that, secret “meetings in the forest”, mainstream media lies and Kool Aid being drunk by the gallon.
A strong review, yet fair.

A strong review, yet fair. I normally wouldn't talk about loyal celebrity customers, but I believe Van Morrison regards me as his muse. Naturally, all credit is hidden inside the lyrics (" the yawning of the awning meets the howl of the fowl"). But I suppose this all goes over the head of someone with your name, Sheeple2.

I'm truly awaken. It's as much as you can ask.
Well you can ask more, but it will almost definitely end in disappointment and recriminations. Much like the local elections.

Morning all,
Spent yesterday out and about doing the rounds. After several hours of walking and a light lunch (as part of the Terry weight loss program), today I seemed to have gained about a kilo. Top banana.
Anyone getting resident evil 8? I didn’t much care for 7, more like a saw film than resident evil.

Oh man ...
A couple of years ago - my Spotify account got hacked by someone who deluged my playlists with K-Pop. I reported it and eventually did go back onto Spotify. But now ... Well I logged back into Last.fm today to get some new music recommendations. I connected it with Spotify and it's 'scrobbled' all my listening and picked back the K-Pop of yesteryear. It's now spooling it all back to me ...

I'm still into Resident Evil 4. I found a way past the locked doors. I was able to give the president's daughter a bunk up over a gate.
It's a good game.
I also (last night) played the Switch demo of Miitopia. It's like a role playing game with Mii's. So I had my man, my 'Mii' as a ... as a mage.
The essence of the story is that a character called the 'Dark Lord' has stolen the faces from the Mii's. It's a bit disturbing. The face lifts off each Mii character, making what is left as smooth as an egg.

Lunch: Flatbread with BBQ chicken, garlic mayonnaise, cucumber & tomatoes.
Ganes: Yesterday in ACNH I finally took Tom Nook's May Day Maze challenge. Maybe I got lucky last year because back then I succeeded on my first try, or the maze was easier. This year I needed 4 attempts. I like to believe that this year it's been more challenging and therefore more fun.
Also more Xenoblade Chronicles. I resent the fact that I cannot play that game all day, every day.
To build a bridge to the Skyrim chat, in recent days I have been making the comparison between Skyrim and XBC, since they both came out at (very) roughly the same time and have a lot of similarities while they are also quite different. Atm I'm probably not the right person to make that assessment since I only have a measly 150 hours in Skyrim and am not even halfway (I believe) through XBC.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love Skyrim, everyone loves Skyrim. However, there are some things that XBC, slightly older game with a much smaller budget that it is, does right and that make me really annoyed with Skyrim. One is completely superficial, but I had this problem right from the start (I came to Skyrim right after BOTW, which only compounded the issue): why does it look so drab, so brown, so same-y? Yes, there are some more interesting locations like Shimmermist Cave, but those are exceptions. You have all these beautiful vistas, why do they have to be so ugly?
The other one that really irks me, to such an extent that I don't want to play any more, are the bugs. Yes, a lot of them are funny, but I'm a completionist, if I can't complete a quest because it's borked then I'm out. XBC has almost twice the quests that Skyrim has and I've never heard any complaints that a single one of them doesn't work. The fact that Bethesda sold so many copies on so many platforms for ten years and never bothered to address a widespread problem that shouldn't have existed in the first instance is disgraceful. If Monolith Soft was able to pay its Quality Control department decent money then maybe Bethesda should have been able to afford a modicum of QC. Of course, Bethesda's sloppy attitude and getting away with bug-ridden games eventually led to Fallout 76 which led to the acquisition by Microsoft. Do you think there will ever be a polished 'definitive edition' of Skyrim like there has been for Xenoblade Chronicles?
TL;DR: Skyrim sometimes p****s me off.

I voted and did not get a free pencil as I brought my own. This is what an adult would do.
As I got home, the local councillors were knocking on my door. I gave them some spiel and then they knocked on Old Boy's door.
Long story, short. The local councillor wants me to be a sort of prefect at the community meetings, when they resume.
I was a prefect at school, it did not end well.*
*Still have the badge, though.

France can wage thermonuclear war in a matter of seconds. Britain is only renting it's nuclear arsenal and the guidance can be turned off the by the USA just like that (clicks fingers). The only thing the US can do with our nuclear deterrent is refuse to perform maintenance on the warheads. It is otherwise completely independent.

To be honest, though, I'm not sure SOAS is an established centre for War Studies.
