I blame The Guardian. They gave Jeremy Corbyn such a bum rap it was almost embarrassing to say you voted for him at times. With the left of the party gone it's now just easily cast as a liberal London-centric elite, and that isn't going to resonate with many people.
That's my take. My half-baked take.
I mean I realise Jeremy Corbyn was London based, but he wasn't liberal and you'd have a hard job saying he was part of an 'elite'.

In London you could vote for Piers Corbyn as Mayor, or Laurence Fox, or a UKIP man called 'Peter Gammons'.

Loads of Labour people voting Tory in various parts of Scotland too. Through the looking glass.
But theres something really not right with that. The only conclusion is that they are not Labour people.
Red Tory, Blue Tory is more accurate, they have more in common with each other than either have with the SNP. Both are not in control of their policies in Scotland, Starmer and Johnson have a veto over anything they dont agree with, appoint the Scottish leadership and it all comes across like they are more just like main Labour/Tory in disguise. Get a guy with a Scottish accent up front and the jocks wont tell the difference.
7-0-0 to the SNP at the moment.
Just heard some Tory pundit explaining how wee Dougie needs to develop some alternative policies that will be popular with voters beyond just the constitution. When pressed for examples, he suggested ending free prescriptions. |

Good luck, Rolling. I had the AstraZeneca jab yesterday and now I can't feel my toes because my legs have dropped off.

Gamesblog: I played some Outer Worlds!
I believe I am now used to the combat, though haven’t a clue what app the collectibles are for.
TVblog: Babylon 5, “Messages From Earth”. Ruddy good episode. In fact, there’s a very strong vein of episodes at this point of the third series.
Tonight’s episode is “Severed Dreams”, one of the best episodes of B5.
Lunchblog: ordered food from O’Shio. Cost a pretty penny, but so damned good. Leftovers for dinner.
