And I finally cleared all the penalty points of my driving licence.
Two years of misery, frustration and headaches. Not a single apology.

Apparently you can no longer send files to Bugs Bunny via Mega or WeTransfer. He will only accept anything via a WhatsApp.doc. I have already stolen this and passed it off as my own. Pretty sure the people I passed it off to as my own have already passed it off as their own.

It's cold and rainy here and I just heard a thunderclap. Exactly what one would expect around this time of the year. I'm finding it difficult to type because my fingers are frozen.
Last night in XBC I got myself into a real Eryk Gingernuts pickle. I ventured out once more to map the vast forest and mop up the 4,568 side quests. After tiptoeing around a level 98 Deinos Sauros (yes, really) I found myself too close to the story progression marker and triggered a cutscene and a boss fight. I was overlevelled, so I aced the first phase although I was still learning the battle mechanics of my new team. That team consists of Sharla and Riki, with Melia as the leader (a setup that's known as the ether party). There's only one reason why I put these people into my party, and that reason is a spoilt brat in Colony 9 who essentially forces me to reach maximum affinity between Melia and Sharla before we can hopefully all move on. Add to that Riki because he's new and I'm only just learning his moves.
Did I mention that understanding the battle system in this game requires a PhD or two?
Before the second phase of the boss fight both Shulk and Melia received new moves and the game heavily hints at using these in this next phase. However, it was late at night and I wanted to get out of this fight as quickly as possible, so I clicked through the menu options without changing my team and without adding Melia's new talent.
In the second phase the boss constantly regenerates health and I had nothing in my repertoire to stop that or deal enough damage quickly. But because my own CPU healing moves were so overlevelled I reached a point where I couldn't die, either. So I was locked in a never-ending, unwinnable fight.
Reader, I forced the game shut to get out.
When I switched it back on I had lost some progress but I was free at last.
I have meanwhile asked the internet and found out that I'm not the only idiotperson who got into this situation under these circumstances. There was someone who got out of it by "fleeing" inside the battle arena who reported that it took their party over an hour to die.
tl;dr: It's nice to have a game where you can experiment with different party compositions, but sometimes experiments go horribly wrong.

I have already stolen this and passed it off as my own. Pretty sure the people I passed it off to as my own have already passed it off as their own. Do any of these people's names by chance begin with "Sheep" and end in "2" and are they openly talking about throwing you under the Fortnite bus?

The problem with throwing him under the Fortnite bus is it flies 80 feet in the air and you have a parachute. So it is an ineffective punishment. I have tried hand grenades and firing the boat gun and setting everything on fire. Direct shooting does not work. These are all ways of damaging your teammate accidentally

It would definitely be a race to get the first weapon and kill your enemy before he kills you. I did not play at that point, but I can imagine how satisfyingly petty it would be to kill each other constantly.

tenthenemyA shit show indeed. After the first wave, Modi’s government deliberately no longer reported infections. And then held massive rallies and religious festivals, all because an election is due. They’ve finally put a lockdown in place, but that is too little too late - numbers will continue to rise over the next few weeks. Add in the fact that less than 10% of the population have been vaccinated, and that young professionals have been leaving cities to go home to rural villages (with little to no healthcare) in order to escape infection, and things are going to get much much worse still.

Anyway... morning all.
Gamesblog: nope.
TVblog: Adventure Time. Then B5.
Wardollyblog: a couple of mates are having their first game of Age of Sigmar today. I’m following on our Discord channel, totally psyched.
In the meantime, I’m still painting the same six dwarves.

Relative to the UK India has not done that badly so far. The UK has reported 150,000 covid linked deaths if you multiply that by 1.4 billion/65 million you need to get to 3.2m deaths before India overtakes the UK on a relative basis. That is before taking in to account the massive differences in medical and social infrastructure, nutrition and relative wealth. At the moment India has recorded 250,000 covid deaths. So even if 90% haven't been reported the UK has still done worse. It is not that what s happening in India isn't appalling - it is. I am amazed people aren't up in arms about what happened in the UK. I genuinely don't understand why Johnson is popular rather than on a pike over London Bridge. If anyone is in doubt read Failures Of State. It is absolutely shocking. And it stops n December 2020, so before the worst point.

I played 'PUBG' yesterday. I feel released of the drive to get better. I accept my place. I'm worse than a bot. I'm cannon fodder. But for fifteen miutes or so I can have a nice time.

And it stops n December 2020, so before the worst point. The trouble with this comparison is, as amipal points out, that numbers in India are no longer reported accurately. Medical professionals, journalists and even the people who run crematoriums are being threatened in order to hide the true scale of the disaster. This is not a conspiracy theory.

The UK is understated by the number who had Covid on the death certificate but aren't in the hospital statistics. At least 25,000 more. I presume that there are similar shortfalls for many countries. The problem for India is that it has much of this to look forward to. It has two advantages in having a generally younger population and a generally lighter population, so a lower proportion are likely to get very seriously ill. But the generally poor infrastructure in many areas will probably more than make up for this.
