Escom... German PC firm that bought Commodore when the latter went bust. They also bought Rumbelows, to have a high street presence. However, they expanded too fast, and were themselves bankrupt within a year of purchasing the Commodore. The curse of Amiga had taken another...

Gaming night was tough, we eventually won a Fortnite trio match but we are in with the big boys now. Don't see the bots anymore and it's all really good players.
Sunny out.

Frostpunk is the next free Epic Game Store game, I reckon a few of you may enjoy that one.

They also bought Rumbelows, to have a high street presence. That move was Radio Rental. Just like your face. No offence.

Morning
Didn't get home from work till after eight last night. So no games, no minty chocolates.
Watched another Justified. It's enjoyable but perhaps a bit samey.
Watched more of the 1971 music thing on Apple TV.
Had a tiny rebel beer that was supposed to have hints of mango. Was boggin. Dunno why I bought it I hate mango flavoured IPA.

Wet out, did I miss the few days beer gardens would have been good for? Managed to cut the other lawn yesterday, the end is being left wild for environmental reasons (extension cable doesn't go that far).

I second this. Raylan and Boyd are two of the best ever tv characters. I’m going to have to start watching it again.

hi
I ate a pizza yesterday - a take away pizza. At one point our neighbours walked past the back wall and looked at the devastated gate, past the overgrown (re-wilded) garden, and onto the spectacle of the PM and myself filling our faces with this pizza.
There is someone coming to fix this gate. I'm just not sure when.

I'm sure, with the right perspective, the busted gate adds something to the garden. Wabi-sabi.
It doesn't though. Well it does add something - an atmosphere of desolation and despair.
I trust in these contractors though. They'll see us right.

Trusting contractors? That’s your first mistake.

Lazy have you considered fixing the gate yourself?

Lazy have you considered fixing the gate yourself? Have you met lazy? He’d spend days deliberating on what hinges the gate would need to have, and what material it should be made out of.

June the fourth be with you.
Sacked off Horizon: Zero Fun and started Days Gone. Seems ok so far. Lots of Cut scenes with people mumbling at each other.
Also watched a few more episodes of Love Death and Robots. Top TV.

Lazy - have you considered getting rid of the gate altogether? No gate: no need for contractors to come round and fix it.

In an insane world, it's the sanest choice.

The Patented Lazy home defense system. Open gate to lure any ne'er do well in, rewilded garden hiding traps/brambles to catch them and then once they have been there a few days they are run over with a lawn mower? Easier than building a new patio every few weeks.

The gate is ... destroyed. Utterly destroyed. I have, in the past, made small repairs to it but now it's internal inconsistencies have come to the fore and it's simply fallen apart.
Well it was blown apart, by a mighty gust of wind.

Gate ... means people ... means making food, means washing up, means ... ladies clattering and banging.
No gate, babe, no brain damage.

No gate, babe, no brain damage. Banging ladies? I thought it was your neighbour that’s the sex person?

Happy Cheese Day to all you Americans out there!
Yee-hah!
Or should that be Brie-hah!

Post by lazybones on Jun 4, 2021 10:28:45 GMT
I don't think the good people of America have access to Brie. There's a law that forbids pungent cheese. Or maybe it's cheese made with unpasteurised milk ... and I'm not sure if that applies to Brie.
In any case there's some law that makes cheese worse in America.
North America. The United States.
