amipal My take is that 40 is just a number so no biggie but as there is an organised thing I would go as long as your P.M. is cool with that. I would be surprised if they weren't considering the occasion*. <edit>*effort put in to organise the thing.

amipal: I would think long and hard about it; discuss it with the PM, asking her to help you select some photos of the 3 of you to take and then I would go, taking my camera kit, tons of pictures and share them with your PM.
