Brilliant work Destry; I owned Silver Surfer #1-#4 and two of Gallimaufry's covers (a game zine I published in the last century) were based on issue #4. And you're right, I do need reminders of which day it is 🤣! Although I don't remember the Surfer facing off Darth Vader on Hoth! |

Morning all,
DogBlog,
After countless checks and hoops jumped it looks like we are going to adopt a rescue dog. Saw him yesterday, (originally from a Romanian Kill Shelter but has been fostered in the UK). So used to my level of chat.
Er indoors lives him, he's going to take some work but we'll get him there. The name Bodhi has been decided on (Point Break), though I'm takimg this as Bodie from The Professionals.
Dogmeat was immediately refused, as was Barbas.
We've still got a few things to tie up so I hope I'm not jinxing it.

Instead of shouting "Heel" or whatever you say to dogs can you get it to respond to "Bodhi man, I'm an FBI agent" it's a bit more long winded I know, but worthwhile in the long run.

Baby's old boss was given a werewolf. Calling it Might as well have been. Some of those dogs have been on the streets for years, kicked out of shop doorways every morning, forced to fight for scraps just to survive etc...it may take a while for them to walk nicely down the street. |

Luckily nothing of note is happening tonight. Nope, nothing on the telly.
OTTM, eldest got selected for school athletics team for a meeting tonight. Despite it being 100% outside nobody can watch as none of us work for UEFA or go to BBQs in Cornwall. Hopefully the 60,000 heading to Wembley tonight get the memo.
OOTTM, following butter chat I swapped out (hi Amipal) my usual clover and tried lurpak spreadable on this mornings toast. Verdict: it was OK.
No games.

Sister just adopted a romanian dog, it seems to have settled in ok but on the big facebook group some have had to go back as they couldn't fit in with people/pets already there.
Mostly seems anxiety issues and trying to eat everything at rapid pace. Didn't like its reflection in the TV screen but that seems a lot like people here.

I am not going out for the footy later, in an effort to avoid having to self-isolate and ruin my holiday. I reckon we will come undone against the Danes and I will watch England fail at the semi-final stage for the 4th time.
Games: A Fortnite duo victory, and by reading this allowed in your head you are giving me permission to post the clip later.
Weather: Raining and a tad cold.

Close at the top Now, when you look at this I think we can all agree that we have two teams tied for first place, followed by another two teams with the same amount of points. Which means that, and hear me out on this one, we have in fact two teams in first place and two teams in second place. So my team is actually currently in 3rd place. |

I am deeply suspicious of the Romanian-rescue-dog thing. I have this feeling that it’s all an elaborate scheme for dog trafficking.
A bunch of Eastern European lads in leather jackets, jeans, and aviators trying to flog a bunch of dogs that they’ve nabbed.
Europol turn a blind eye, as they’re on the take.
