Do citronella candles really work? Or are we entering a new phase of insect mutation, ultimately ending in the extinction of mankind?
Sat minding my own business in the garden, with a cold glass of beer on the little 'in arms reach' table. On the bigger table, where we can eat if it's hot, a metre away, was my citronella candle burning away. A wasp landed on the side of my glass. After shrieking like a big wuss and moving (running) away quickly I then returned, but this time put the candle right next to the glass. Mr or Mrs wasp came straight back and gave zero fucks about the candle and landed on the glass, even after I picked it up and wafted it towards it, it didn't care. The git.

Hello,
After frantically booking a flight we got back yesterday, today I have been back at work. No, I’m not happy about it either. Still, no need to isolate. Now if only someone could turn the thermostat down a scooch, that’d be great.

I thought citronella only worked at keeping mosquitoes away. Wasps consider it a condiment.

One unsettling thing I heard was that the vaccines are only considered to give protection for 'at least six months', which is fine if you got your second jab in June, but if you got it at the start of the year ... A bad business, maybe ... It has the potential to be a bad business ... I'll happily stay in for the next five years to be honest. The 'Britain lost its freedom' comment was just a sort of right-wing lampoon ... Sorry fella - it rather didn't read that way to me; but I need some symbol to tell me in this heat that that was actually a joke!

I just took my shirt off. The Pearl & Dean music came to mind.

I'm not reading all that. But I might later.
Hello. I've just had a large chicken tikka kebab. Flat bread, salad, chilli sauce and Garlic yoghurt. Possibly the nicest thing I've eaten since covid. Didn't seem a huge portion when I opened it but I'm nicely stuffed. It's almost like they know what they're doing. I could now really go a J. But I'm having a beer instead.

A classic. 4 stars.

The Truffle Shuffle is a rite of passage for us folks of a particular size. Although I will add I'm still in the BMI 'zone' between overweight and obese so there's still time. I am thinking of switching from my current meds to CBD oil I heard it works well for pain. (late edit) finally the ultimate shoe for the beach, now all they need to do is make two of them. (with built in deodoriser).

The NHS website tells me that I am a pound into overweight territory.
*takes codpiece off*
Sorted.
