Admin Upgrading the Sun Cannon? Felice Landry Thank you for your kind words yesterday: "I, for one, will miss you... Though I suspect that someone who is so bloody-minded as you will live for ever even to just say "fuck you"* to the world." I can report that I 'woke' up at 5 a.m. I'll certainly say 'fuck you' to the relentless treadmill of taking tablets every 6 hrs. Going back to sleep (and cough)...

Good morning punters. Off into the office today.
Lots to do but my line manager is in, as is someone covering a mat leave in my team - so probably a meeting will be pencilled in. Baws.
Just watched the run that got the bronze in the female skateboarding. Wow. 13.
No games last night. Doing stuff on the child's iPod touch. The pm had ripped audiobooks as music for her and I was changing these to Audiobooks in the metadata. Yes I was triggered.
The pm and child were meant to be going down to Oxford next week till the following Monday. This is now happening this Sat to Thursday. This has fucked up some plans I had made and I'm a tad pissed off. But hey ho. What ya gonna do. *Shrug*

Following last months Harry Potter and The Audiobook of Freedom, you can ask Alexa to read The Sandman by Neil Gaiman, until the end of August. Annoyingly, I bought it last month. It is fantastic though, proper audio drama/radio play, with real actors and that. And it’s a joy finally hearing a scouse accent for John Constantine.
Games - not last night, but did recently restart Red Dead Redemption 2, which is just as good as I remember it being.

A guy I know was involved in creating that Sandman adaptation. I'm not sure in what capacity. I'll check it out, although I'll have to temporarily put aside my irrational dislike of James McAvoy.

How amipal learned to love tanks (and about dadding)...

Is it a tank or a self propelled gun? I have no clue but I could see someone shouting 'Its not a real tank' if someone did that at the imperial war museum. Games, none. TV a little of the Olympics replays. Coverage this time round seems to be missing a lot of the sports. WFH is not so productive, more food and coffee needed.

Hello
Today I am re-felting a shed roof.
Real man's work (but I'm doing it anyway)

That’s an M-4 Sherman (it might even be a later model), which is a US Medium tank from WWII. There was an SPG (self-propelled gun) variant called the M-7 Priest, which mounted a 105mm howitzer for artillery support.

Im* pretty sure it's a WWII Sherman - well* have to ask amipal - if hes* come out of it yet *I believe in accommodating the preferred style of the original poster** **(not Oz, whose posts are a gallimaufry of anything that his flypaper mind has chanced upon.) I feel awful. The combination of leg pain and chest infection vitiate my capacity to do stuff. No other bugger is going to do it so I work in small bits, rest, go again. But I do need to

Hope you feel better
OTTM I went to Tamworth to see an U23 friendly last night (Only 15 minutes drive). Our U23s are as good at friendlies as our first team are. On the plus side it was a pleasant evening and I had not been to the Lamb ground before.
I am presuming we are saving all the good stuff for competitive games.

Morning all. The BBQ beef pizza I had at Pizza Express yesterday had me tootin’-like- Tuffers all evening. Must have been the chipotle in it. TVblog: Futurama, The Good Place (which I’m really enjoying now), and Community (For a Few Paintballs More). Holidayblog: off down to Battle for a few days for a quick getaway. Will be nice seeing something other than home. The Airbnb we’re staying at has NO WIFI. #pray4amipal

Proper cricket at last. And I'm too busy with work to watch it. Oh well, highlights tonight.
OTTM, bacon sandwich for lunch. Amazeballs.

Games: Wolfenstein New Blood. Seems decent. TV: Blackadder 2 & the Oly pics. Grub: Chicken slices with chip shop curry. 4* Music: Led Zep II.
OTTM: I was talking earlier to a neighbour about the newbies. Such phrases as, "The muppets appear to have moved in next door" and "The Circus is back in town" escaped from my gob, when they all appeared around the corner and walked past. Did they hear me or not? Who cares, I don't.
I shall make enquiries in due course.
