British skewed and also rather too many crime and costume dramas, reflecting the stereotypical interests of the stereotypical Classic FM listener. As far as I know I have watched every single episode of Morse (and Lewis) but I couldn't have hummed its theme tune to save my life. So I went to the Tubes of You and listened to it. Five minutes later I had forgotten it again. There are also some odd choices. The opening theme to Blue Planet II, but not the first one? I like the original Blue Planet theme much better (I bought the whole album). Most iconic theme tunes I can think of the top of my head are indeed American: what about Bonanza and Hawaii Five-0? Theme songs that I still remember decades later include The X Files; The Streets of San Francisco; Miami Vice; and Dallas and Dynasty. And I agree with Destry on the original Avengers theme.
