Morning. Going to work. Its doors open day. Triffic.
Would love to see the Venn diagram of cunts with Rangers/Celtic scarfs/tops and not wearing masks on public transport. Glasgow Central will be mayhem on the way home as Trnsmt festival is on. Tales of test kits and KFC bargain buckets of vomit on trains yesterday.
No games but downloaded Jedi thingy from Gamepass.
TV. Nine Strangers and Ted Lasso.

Good morning.
Last night I watched The North Water, followed by The Cleaner. Both were okay. 4 stars.
Games; none.

Morning
Looking forward to North Water as we just finished The Terror this week. Down with the zeitgeist.
Waiting for an invasion of children who should arrive shortly. No option of having the cricket on in the background may prove horrowing.

I went out drinking last night. I may not survive the day.

I cannot remember the last time I went out drinking, not due to having too much but think it was over a year ago. Little overcast here, more fox deposits in the garden. No EV though.

That is all.

Afternoon.
Last time I went out drinking? Over 10 years ago.
Never had a Tescos delivery, had 2 Sainsburys ones. I was not impressed with the condition of the bananas on both occasions, so they got the elbow.
Foxchat: A colleague and I once rented a house in London. There was an active foxhole in the garden. Some judicious research on my part led to the conclusion that if a human pisses in the hole, Mr foxy will naff off sharpish. I mentioned this to said colleague who promptly went into the back garden and let off an impressive stream of golden goodness. Mr Foxy and his brown sausages were never seen again.
Great story etc...

Where's amipal? Oh, probably gone for a jaunt in his motor. I reckon he's gone full monty, suit, sunglasses and Matt Monro on the stereo. "On days like these..." I can see it now.

To be fair it was the first time I've been out drinking since late August.

Afternoon.
I have taken delivery of S1 to 3 of The Wire, following recommendations from this place. 2,181 minutes worth.
It cost me a tenner. It better be worth it.

I continually keep falling asleep ... this week has involved a constant and exhausting stream of phonecalls. A dozen, but that's a dozen completed calls, which conceals at least 10h of waiting through a queue countdown. But today I can't call anyone - thank fuck. Five of those countdowns ended "all our appointments today are now fully booked, please call tomorrow". As for my podiatry appointment which is now 6 weeks overdue, so much so various Nurseys are now having to put individual dressings on six toes to protect them. Because podiatry forbids other medical professionals from even cutting them ... The ultimate Catch-22. My life is run by these jokers... I think that the NHS have outsourced their HR and systems functions to these guys: btw, NHS surgical tape was their exemplar

I rewatched The Wire recently. 1 is underrated. 2 is the hipster choice. 3 is good but not as good as I remembered (used to be my favourite). 5 not nearly as bad as I remembered - only really goes off the rails in the last couple of episodes. In retrospect I think 1 might be the best.
In summary, 4 stars.

Went to Hove to look at some sofas. Dropped the boy over his nan’s so we could have some peace, and the Gravity soundtrack played on the way over - made driving down onto her driveway incredibly dramatic! Then the trip to Hove was accompanied by ClassicFM, which also included a very dramatic piece in The Planets, Mars.

Series 1 of The Wire is arguably the best, it's certainly better than 2.

Went to Hove a look at some sofas. Your welcome.
I'm on a bus as some halfwit has hit the bridge the railway sits on. This happens at least once a month.
It has given me time to get a McDonalds for lunch. The burger was lukewarm. Poor show. My phone corrected that to shoe. It probably knows best.
