FFS! Jimmy Greaves, Boycie and now Rolling. Screw you 2016! The first two, maybe. Frankly I can see an upside on the last one.

Header by ChumblesFriday? Why not? Technically speaking it's a magnetic induction coil with a three phase 'hemi' and zero point Tesla field, but I won't quibble!

I’ve had reports that filling stations around the greater Brighton area are wodged with silly drivers panic-buying.
I’m not smug. Not at all. I didn’t buy an EV to mitigate against government ineptitude.

Hope you're prepared for the power cuts. Hope you're prepared for the beer shortages. There's enough wine in the garage to get us to the new year.

There's nothing we Brits like more than a good panic buy.

We had Gigi Hadid's* pasta for dinner. She didn't come round and make it, I did. As she's a model I assume she barfs hers up after enjoying it - we (hopefully) missed out that step.
It's all over the 'gram apparently. Double cream, parmesan and butter are included - why wouldn't it be nice.
The child is watching the Cinderella on Amazon prime - for about the 45th time. It is very good though.
Rolling has Covid? Is that a thing in Scotland now. Jeesh. My phone just changed that to Jewish. I'm glad I noticed.
*Had no idea who she is, the PM had to tell me.

So I joined a Twitch stream to watch the Direct last night that turned into a BOTW stream afterwards which went on until 3 a.m. It felt like Christmas: first you get a lot of surprises and afterwards you play with your toys.
As a result of going to bed too late I fell asleep after lunch (seafood sticks & avocado wrap with wasabi mayo and poke salad with more seafood sticks and avocado) today. At least the Direct was good fun. Who would have thought in 1990 or thereabouts that Nintendo would one day be selling Sega Genesis controllers for their own system?
I still think that Nintendo are the masters of these advertising broadcasts. The pacing in switching between game footage, voiceover and presenters is just right and makes the whole thing entertaining even if you have no interest in any of the games. During the recent PlayStation Showcase I found myself shouting at the screen "No, you idiots! That's not how you do it" when they ended on God of War directly after revealing Spiderman 2. Sigh.
Loved the return of the Squid Researcher, happy about 3D Kirby, most likely on board with the online upgrade (if only now they would also improve the quality of the online), and a huge sigh of relief for Bayonetta 3 (loved the little Astral Chain gag there). Only thing I found meh was the stupid Disney game that I first thought was Kingdom Hearts, and the reveal of the Mario film voice actors that has generated the most headlines was odd but strangely entertaining at the same time. And announcements of two more Directs, two! And Metroid Dread out so soon, I'm not ready.
It's just a pity that by Christmas the country will be back to the Stone Age with less innovation and progress than the first time.

Is that the Camila Cabello one? No, Gigi Hadid I said so. Yes, it is. I had to Google her as I didn't realise that was cinders name. James Corden of course being the downside of the whole thing.
