My soundbar is now telling me that I have 'an unsupported audio format'. The curse of the TurtleBeach headset knows no bounds. Exactly which headset do you have and which type of Xbox controller are you plugging it into? Also, have you tried the headset with the controller connected to console via USB?

Exactly which headset do you have and which type of Xbox controller are you plugging it into? Also, have you tried the headset with the controller connected to console via USB? It works fine on the XBox. Now, can I interest you in a Borner V5 PowerLine vegetable slicer?

Scottish chippies will be so proud, and Sheggers will be delighted, sadly her blog appears to be in Dutch... "Vegan food blogger wins World Porridge Making Championships. Miriam Groot is a food blogger known as The Veggie Reporter... she's from the Netherlands. Miriam Groot, 25, who runs a blog call The Veggie Reporter, beat competitors from around the world.
She used pinhead oatmeal, mushrooms and vegan cheese to create Oatmeal Arancini - deep fried balls of risotto, rolled in breadcrumbs and deep fried in oil."image and text (c) BBC news... (it does look bloody good)

I've spent half my evening hunting a big black rat. That turd next door has put some bags of God knows what outside it's front door. They don't bother me, but Mrs T is shitting it. We let Tids Jnr out earlier, but the stoopid sod just stared at our shed door. "It's behind you Tids".
Asshole cat.

Many years ago when I was still at home we had mice. I discovered one doing laps of my bedroom about 3am. I roused both my dad and the cat.
The cat simply sat in a corner yawning and looking distinctly unimpressed by everything while we tried to corner the mouse. It was unclear what would happen after the mouse was trapped. I don't think either of us fancied bashing it.
After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to persuade the mouse into an ice cream tub it bolted straight for the cat who without missing a beat or moving at all caught it in her mouth.
A superb display of hunting.
Before she could drop it I put her out the window (on to a flat roof). I do not know what happened to the mouse. I presume the cat took it a safe distance from the house and released it unharmed. This seemed most likely.
We went out the following morning and purchased some snap traps. I would buy humane traps now. I did a couple of years ago for my parents- well for mice really.. I think it required poisoned bait in the end to end the infestation.
The humane traps are excellent. Bit of cheese, set trap catch mouse. The only problem is you have to take the mouse somewhere. I have not read that the mouse usually gets killed shortly after release, so I am comfortable they are less cruel than the snap traps.

The cat was forgiven everything for that one act of mouse catching. Cat blanche going forward. Even when it shat (deliberately) on my parents' bed. While they were sleeping in it. Didn't bother me in the slightest. Not at all.

Didn't bother the cat much either. She'd made her point about not being left for the neighbours to look after for a weekend.

Wow, the household somehow managed to sleep in til 7:50 this morning. I’ll take that.
Morning all.
A great day yesterday seeing my brother and his lot, plus my dad and partner. Been a while since we’ve seen them all, and the weather was warm and sunny to boot. A visit to a nearby butterfly gardens/sanctuary/display allowed a ton of photography, and then back to theirs for tea and cake. His boys showed me their various GW minis that they’d painted (top work), and I gave them all a spin in the EV. Oh, and also assisted my brother in removing the damaged Amiga 1200 motherboard that he’d neglected to get fixed. I’m not so much angry as horribly disappointed. And angry.
TVblog: First episode of Squid Game. Madness! Then The Orville.
OTTM: our favourite Korean/Japanese place is no longer doing takeaway deliveries on a Saturday night. We disappointingly went with the local pizza place instead.

amipal - Is The Orville actually funny? I rarely find American humor amusing... It is more of a Star Trek with funny bits than an actual comedy.

I tried some of the Battlefield 2042 beta - its entirely functional. Unfortunately Battelfield Haard One is not available at the moment. Top name though.
Meteoroid - Top banana. Came a cropper at the hands of an E.M.M.I several times. I like how it cuts away just before the implied having your face drilled into oblivion. Looking forward to calling Zobek later.

Now to start cooking the Roast chicken for dinner.

Hello.
Episode 6 of Squid Game. Grim.
Games. Restarted Ass Creed Greece on the laptop early on and then GTA stunt Races late on the PS4. Stayed on far too late as folk in our lobby were proper racing and not trying to shunt each other off. Good fun.
Tired today though. Oh, also had another go on the oculus. Rec Room. The movement making me queasy though. Need to do some milder stuff and build up to it. Not sure how much milder you get though.
