Ah man. Summer of '99. I'd just turned 18, and spent almost all of my time getting drunk, or stoned playing video games. It was a better time.

A mate of mine got pirate copies of both the Matrix and the Phantom Menace, before they were in the cinemas here. I remember him rocking up at the pub one night and loudly dropping massive spoilers.

Basically that the Phantom Menace was shit, and that Darth Maul was the only decent thing about it, but was only in it for about 5 minutes. |

The Matrix is still bloody brilliant, much like my face.
Dinnerblog: I had a sub-1kg lump of pork, so tried the ol’ pan-fry-to-seal-then-pop-it-in-the-oven-at-a-high-temperature method. Worked very well - a nice juicy bit of roast pork.
And a huge bowl of apple sauce. Because there’s never enough.
