It's still early days but I'm already worried about long Covid for my grandson. He didn't actually test positive, but getting the test done properly on a 3 year old has been a challenge. He's experienced fevers and tiredness now for over a week and I just hope that he'll be able to shake it off eventually. It's not fair that a child too young to be vaccinated has to suffer from this terrible disease that already robbed him of his grandfather, just so that Boris Johnson was able to announce 'freedom day' and Tory MPs had an excuse to stop wearing masks.

The most likely thing is it's just a cough/cold or other similar illness*. They can linger quite a while. Even if it is covid as a small child his immune system s much less likely to overreact to it.
I know it is difficult, especially under the circumstances.
* I think plague can start with cold like symptoms.
On a lighter note
OTTM My cousin who is early 50s and has been in a nursing home for 10 years is in hospital with a chest infection. They have treated her with antibiotics and she seems to be recovering. This is both good and bad. She is in a pretty poor way only having partial use of one arm and her long term condition keeps deteriorating. There is no quality of life and no hope of recovery. It's very difficult. I am not sure keeping her going is the best thing.

As long as I don't have to use my passport photo. Several attempts at not having ANY flash reflection in my glasses led me to submit a photo of me without them.
The end result has more than a passing resemblance to a certain Jeremy Clarkson.
It's bad enough on a passport - if I have that on my drivers license I am proper buggered

Quiz, I only got 6 correct.
I have a crappy cold so that must be the reason my brain was so confused, I couldnt see the flag in the flag question, then I convinced myself that the anagram was contained in the question about Carrie Fisher and the gibberish answers were somehow real cartoon shows. Hadnt a clue about popular girls names or the poetry.
Tried to burn out the cold with a mega hot Burrito earlier, then more recently treat it with a lovely Classic Magnum. And half a packet of original Pringles with babaganoush, and some olives.
Games - No
TV - Started Guilt on the BBC, quite like it so far, set in Edinburgh whilst definetly not filmed in Edinburgh.
Driving Licence chat - I'm still on Paper too, reinforced with sellotape on the seams, no way Im getting conned into a photo card, You have to shell out for a new one every 10 years I think.
My paper one doesnt expire til 2045 or something. The address isnt current but thats never seemed to be a problem. Plus I think it allows me to ride a small engined motorbike despite never having been tagught how to ride a motorbike.
