My greedy son will scoff all desert regardless. Email me when you manage to get him to eat some fucking vegetables. And the parents Whatsapp group can fuck off too! It's a deluge of smug mums attaching photos of their little shits dressed for Halloween. I couldn't care less, and why aren't these parents busy working?!? Fuckin' broken Britain! Work is hectic too. Things are happening.
The water main on the main road has been leaking a lot for a week, There are men standing looking at it ad the road is closed today.
There is also water pouring from a main on my road which is slightly higher up the hill than the leak. This looks deliberate as there is a pressure gauge and tap there.
So far there is no diminution in the quantity of water coming from the main leak. It's all pretty exciting stuff.

The burst water main is the most exciting thing to happen round here in decades.
Possibly since Sutton Park set on fire in 1976.
At the moment the ground is soggy enough that the park is unlikely to catch fire. The water is pouring out right by the park fence.
I have plenty of beer, wine and spirits.

Earlier today Surjit delivered the goods.  Shortly after this photo was taken I unpacked the E.M.M.I. and it got loose in the house. I'm now hiding under the stairs, trying not to move and to make no sound. Lunch: fish stick wrap with unsustainable avocado. |
