Mr Tids
I was in the car with my father the other day, and he became fixated on a noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. In the end he stopped the car and we both went to have a look at the wheels.
It turned out … that part of the plasticky housing on the inside of the … arched bit (?) that went over one of the wheels, had somehow got bent and was rubbing against the wheel as it rotated.
The housing was bent back - my dad bent the housing back - and it was ok.

The people who say swop instead of swap are probably exactly the same deviants who say 'pum-iss' instead of pumice. A dangerous demographic. It was probably those bloody Norman's coming over here with there posh French lingo instead of sticking to good old Anglo-Saxon. They need a damn good swotting, or at the very least a swat.

I've told the muppets twice where it's coming from. I'll say no more.
Thanks for the response, though.

I’m actually considering buying a car. Coming face to face with the fact that a 1990s Jaguar, bought for a competitive price on EBay, might be terrible for the environment …

Morning!
Because I'm really important, I've been extremely busy today crunching HARD calculations. As busy as the shredding machine in the Covid contracts department at Tory HQ.
Gammon/The Gammon/Gammo for tea/dinner. Simmered for a while earlier in water with carrots, onion, clove, peppercorns, Shenguins Bay leaf, celery, garlic. Then roasted with a honey and English mustard glaze. Served with potatoes and sweetcorn. 5*
Jims, I tried that PES/E-Football on ps5 as it was free. There is a reason for this. It is horse shit.
OTTM, we haven't had a Pun Friday for a while *puts on thinking cap*
OOTTM, BDT commences in 31 minutes.

Just had a phonecall from the Wham bar emporium. Should be a good Christmas all going well. Four stars.
Tried the Halo MP earlier for a wee bit. Just against bots in the training. Got my arse handed to me. Bunny hopping robot arseholes.

MrTiddles - get them to check out your big end, whilst it's up on the ramp... Seriously fella, it's not a bad idea to go in there and watch what they are doing to it... I did that a couple of times when I thought that the bill might be "getting fattened for Christmas". At least you have enough knowledge to know if they are obviously padding .. "Do you put oil into the car?" "Ooh yes, I always do, as it seems to lose a lot"

11/15
Mainly very lucky to have read and somehow retained information from recent news articles. GCSE Science and Geography also still going strong. What did my head in was that it took me far too long to unscramble the US states anagrams before getting the answer wrong.
Booster boasting: I'm now pfizered up like those TikTok kids and got a new sticker that proves that I've been a good girl. Man, I miss Astra Zeneca. We liked to call it AZ, but nobody talks about it anymore. Nowadays it's just Pfizer this, Pfizer that and there's been a worldwide shortage of microchips, so they don't even put them into the vaccine anymore.
Getting vaccinated is still fun, though. But I was hoping for more cricket.

tenthenemyI too have the AtoZ base and the Tizer booster, together with a side order of (anti)flu. With my luck I'll probably get knocked down by a millennial on an escooter.

I did that a couple of times when I thought that the bill might be "getting fattened for Christmas". At least you have enough knowledge to know if they are obviously padding .. I know it's the off side-rear brakes. I know this. They are probably confused by the fact that the brakes work perfectly well. Yeh, well that's because they are semi-seized on. My view is this; one of the shoes has sheared when I pulled away after letting it stand for too long. I've told them this when I booked it in and also when I dropped the car off. They still insist on taking it for 'Beanos' on the road to ascertain the source of the noise.
The fact that they reported that the noise only occurs when turning or braking is a fallacy, they must be deaf. Reading between the lines (that's btl in geekspeak), they don't have the equipment to deal with it. As a computer controlled all-wheel-drive system, you simply can't just jack up the offending wheel and listen for a noise when you turn it because you'd have to be physically fit enough to actually turn the one wheel and the other connected 3, not to mention a transfer box and gearbox.
tl:dr
They've got me over a barrel because it's unsafe to drive any distance.
p.s. When's a good time to tell them I worked for Subaru for 7 years in the '90s?

Got my arse handed to me. Bunny hopping robot arseholes. Play quick play against real players, I've managed to hold my own pretty well. Just remember to keep moving, stay near your team mates and aim for the head.
