So Jodie Whittaker becomes the new Doctor Who, and then 4 years later people stop wearing masks. Is it any wonder? Only the boys though.

Already you have people in the comments identifying this as a (government?) propaganda video. Logic has long gone out of the window.

Booster update: my upper arm is starting to ache now. That’ll be the inflammation at the site of injection then. I had exactly the same thing for a few days, also feeling a bit groggy (although it's difficult to tell whether it's any different to my usual state). But it was good to know that my immune system acknowledged the presence of the vaccine. Today I was once more invited by email and text message to have my Covid booster. Also my flu vaccination. I had all of them. This does not inspire confidence in the NHS record keeping. Are they just going to ask the same people over and over again?

When I went to Mum's place to work on the Subaru, I slept in the same room as my deceased Father. His urn was under a chair in the spare bedroom. "We didn't know what to do with him."
I still find that a bit strange today.

I always wanted to be put in one of these: Pref.Mam. thought it was funny but possibly inappropriate.

Christmas is going to get cancelled again isn't it? I watched a YouTube video earlier where Byline TV vox-popped folk on the London Underground who weren't wearing masks. They asked them why and they all said because those in charge weren't so why should they. What a bag of shite. You're not wearing a mask as BJ etc isn't in the house of commons or at the theatre or whatever? I really wished they'd called them out on it. The real reason is you're all bawbags. Simples. I can understand it to some extent. It's along the lines of "if politicians aren't wearing masks then it must not be that important, so why should I bother?" BoJo's shtick has always been about undermining experts, so he's been actively sabotaging his government advisers. In public messaging, mask wearing has never been properly justified and I bet the majority of the population still has no grasp of how the virus is transmitted. In the middle of a pandemic, government information ads have stopped a long time ago. The impact of the Delta variant has never been explained in a concise, memorable way. Everyone is just muddling through. I can't remember whether I've already posted the link here, but these infographics in the Spanish newspaper El País really helped me understand airborne transmission and the impact of mask wearing: elpais.com/especiales/coronavirus-covid-19/a-room-a-bar-and-a-class-how-the-coronavirus-is-spread-through-the-air/The article is now more than a year old and relies on case studies that involved the original version of the virus, but these are pictures that stick in the mind. I don't think it's a coincidence that this had wider dissemination in Spain, where the population has been largely complying with anti-Covid measures and where vaccination uptake has been very high.

It's windy af here now. Had 2 short power cuts already, and water has breached the seal on the bit of flat roof above the bedroom window. The roofers are going to be coining it in next week.

I have only been to Big London once since the pandemic started. I was almost the only person on the tube wearing a mask.
I expect it will be much the same next weekend.

When I've been on trains and trams compliance is 50/50 at best. I can't remember the last time I was on a bus; it was pre-pandemic.

Give London a break.
It’s about two thirds of people wearing a mask at the moment. Maybe three quarters? It has been going up over the last month.

Lazy, I wasn't having a go about London. It was just an example. A big cockernee eel-pie with liqueur and mash example.
Hello. Bit of Forza earlier. Watching s2 of Dead to Me. Apple chew. Marvellous.
