Oh dear some people have worked out that Omicron is an anagram of Moronic, fun games have ensued. Yeah, that happened pretty much instantly as soon as they announced the name. Maybe the WHO should have let their crossword puzzle division have a look at it first.

I think that letter of the Greek alphabet has long been an anagram of "moronic", either since Greek letter spellings were more or less fixed in the 16th century, or since moron was introduced to English (from the Greek for Fate) in the 20th century.
Whichever, waiting until now to make the connection seems lack-witted.

Dinner was grilled halloumi with harissa in an oven bottom muffin (because I didn't have pita bread), (nice) salad, my last bottle of retsina, and Greek yoghurt with lemon compote for dessert. Very, very tasty. 4 stars.
Last night some of the Scottish relatives had parts of their roof blown off, which fortunately didn't hit anyone but unfortunately landed on their car and took out the back window. In addition to that they just found out that their roofer won't be able to repair the damage any time soon because he has Covid. I've been busy all evening counting my blessings.
Some Cross Animals whilst keeping half an eye on a Halo stream. There has also now been some snow on my AC island and I've been getting out my winter clothes.

I am out boozing in Brighton later. That is as long as the trains don't all get cancelled, in which case I will be driving to Brighton for one beer then driving home again in a mild rage. The wind has yet to pickup here yet. You may well be in luck. That wind has picked up now… #Pray4faceless

Booster booked. But not until the 15th Dec. Nowhere near by sooner and I'm in the office that day so can get on the way home. It's exactly 6 months after my second Jag so can't really complain.
PM's sore back has come back. Possibly nerve/sciatica. Absolute murder. Needs to phone doctor on Mon. Bloody awful.
No games, no TV. 1 beer and early-ish to bed I think.

TENS machine? Boots might be able to get to a store near you before it gets lost. Do hospitals book COVID pcr drive through tests before booking actual appointments?
Well as there is two already there will be more so let it take over for herd immunity? Good luck scam, anything that can be used for name and shame?

Yeah we've got a tens machine from last time. Will suggest tomorrow.
I've also tried to suggest a vimto chew instead of nurofen. But deaf ears. My pal uses to manage arthritis in his knees.

Have you tried Ibuprofen Gel *, I use it when I get occasional stiffness in my finger joints. Works pretty quickly. * I get mine from Poundland cos I'm a tight Yorkshire bastard.

Ibuprofen makes you bleed to death from the inside, and can make your poor little tummy hurt at the some time. On the other hand, it's also a very effective remedy for muscle pain.

Restrictions reviewed in three weeks, not like much can happen in that length of time.

I just ordered a snow shovel after nearly putting my back out shovelling the drive.
Also, for sciatica you want Naproxen.

A seven AM start on a Sunday? Horrific.
The boy has karate grading this morning, so we were out the door at 8:30.

Now I'm wondering if Amipal's boy should try booze instead of karate. Booze doesn't usually start so early, and if it does it can be done at home.
