Hope you're all good and keeping warm?
Managed to watch Gamesmaster over the course of three nights. Nobody seemed to want to watch it with me. Odd.
It got me thinking about the best condiment: mustard or tomato sauce. I'm defo in the mustard camp. The only time it's not a given is with a fish finger sarnie?

White wet stuff falling from sky and settling a bit. I predict traffic chaos in the morning, hope it is ok a bit further east with Mr Chumbles.

My problem last night was my pal saying can we go to the pub early and leave early as he had something to do first thing on Sunday morning. Needless to say, after 3 pints he decided to cancel the thing on Sunday morning. Can't help feeling I ought to have seen that coming. My problem last night was my plan to have 3 or 4 beers then get a relatively early train home went out the window by the time I was halfway through my first pint. I missed the last train.... by an hour and a half, and ended up sleeping on my mates sofa. When I woke up this morning I genuinely didn't know where I was. 4 stars would recommend.

Heavy snow now and it's landing on top of sheets of ice, so a bit worried about PM getting to work and dropping kid 2 off at Nan's house. Still, made an igloo earlier. The strong choice. Greta will be pleased, but I think your PM's problems will come a bit earlier than tomorrow morning's journey to work. When she needs a number 2, you're going to have to slide her outside for, err, functions *... * And you won't be much better off when you want a pee

However the wind's dropped and dropping, as is the temperature - it's goddam cold, there's a nasty, lazy wind that gets everywhere. And it's damp, so mytown will be even more gridlocked than usual. But the Fimbulwinter is forecast to end i=on Tuesday. Edit: Just had my first minced pie (of 6*) of the season and a Tassimo coffee (a bloody site better than Instant). * If I over indulge it will take forever to lose the extra weight

It doesn't seem to have improved in the last 15 years and more people seem to get stuck than be sensible.

"...the masks rule would apply from 4am on Tuesday ...".
Presumably it has to go through parliament first.

Aylesbury; with Bucks continually authorising the building of housing estates without the infrastructure to support it and all the HS2 works, gridlock in the town centre is only ever a couple of car breakdowns away. But I agree, if the gritters don't keep up, going from Old Amersham to Wycombe up Gore Hill, along the A404 that and down that bastard never-ending drop into Wycombe will be lethal.

"...the masks rule would apply from 4am on Tuesday ...". Presumably it has to go through parliament first. The government can act under either the pre-existing Public Health (Control of Disease Act) 1984 and new legislation, the Coronavirus Act 2020, which provides additional measures to respond to the Covid-19 emergency. So I'm guessing not.

About 50p a mug, if you wait for offers and buy in bulk... and I only drink about 6-7 mugs a week. Given what you must spend on ingredients and time spent cooking, I would've thought that you and the PM could happily use one for a mug after dinner and a digestif without the faff of mucking about with C cafetières etc. Time for me to eat... laters

Guess whose tested positive for covid! Awaiting a PCR test I'm not allowed outside until 9th December. Top banana. Also experiencing some 'gastrointestinal issues' along with the flu type symptoms. Top banana.
