Morning.
Booze is fine for backs, but make sure you only get screw top bottles. A corkscrew is impossible to use while in spasm.
OTTM…. Jeff has just sent me a password for delivery of a valuable item. Scenes!
Just need to convince the PM to let me open it before Xmas…….

Our electric kettle is broken, we had to boil water on the hob, just like the olden days! I've got one of those posh new modern induction hobs. It boils water as quick as an electric kettle so I got a whistling kettle for it. Binned the electric kettle. Has a hob timer so you can set it for a few minutes in case you wander off and forget about it. Switches itself off.

Hullo.
I've been out in the motor. After 8 miles, the 'noise' started up, but only slightly. I now think the garage was right - the noise is coming from the o/s/f.
In related news, I've worked out the mpg as 20.5. This includes motorway driving, oh dear.
Chucked a load of EV10 in it and pumped the tyres up (machine only accepted swiping your card). What.a.World.
OTTM: Too early for a drink?

I hope that you guys oop North are AOK
Windy as fuck, but beautiful sunshine ... Awful night - I got to sleep from 3 to 5, since when I have been doing chores and stopping now for New Covent Garden Tommy Basil soup. I'm saying hi and dumping my pick of the music I found into the juke whilst my Lansoprazole (peptic ulcer).

I think Jimi Hendrix summed up my experience earlier in his song, "Hey Texaco".
I'm goin' way down South, Way down to Texaco way, Where it's £6.56 a Gallon, And that ain't too cool...
Something like that.

Killed it with Car chat.
I'm currently writing a list of things for the Garage to do.
Kills chat again.

Gasoline. In the US is just under $4 a gallon. I wouldn't take fuel buying advice from Tiddles.

Heavy snow now and it's landing on top of sheets of ice, so a bit worried about PM getting to work and dropping kid 2 off at Nan's house.
Still, made an igloo earlier.

My problem last night was my pal saying can we go to the pub early and leave early as he had something to do first thing on Sunday morning. Needless to say, after 3 pints he decided to cancel the thing on Sunday morning. Can't help feeling I ought to have seen that coming.

Happy first 🕯️ advent, 'boxers. No, you are not allowed to open your advent calendar yet. Yes, it sounds as if some of you have already raided their booze themed calendar. Go and get another one. It's snowing again. I have just taken possession of a new 400 GB micro SD card from Jeff Express. It's the only purchase I've made at a reduced price for the Black Friday sales (though I paid full price for a pack of lovely colourful compression socks because I needed something that keeps my feet warm and my circulation going). Fortified by fresh storage space I will now be able to check out the ongoing Eshop sales. The monster is feeding its own tail. The ouroboros of consumerism. Last night I tried to play more Animal Crossing and failed because I was also following another Twitch streamer who was having a (late) Extra Life charity stream. (There's still room for more donations, if anyone is interested www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=450238). He's obviously got quite a large retro gaming collection and so was essentially playing through a significant part of the AVGN's oeuvre, starting with the legendary Action 52 (games in reverse order, from Cheetahmen to the first weird two player game that doesn't tell you in advance that it's for 2 people). And yes, he also played E.T. for the Atari. And Dick Tracy, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, both the old Ghost Busters and Back to the Future games, Super Pitfall, Batman: Dark Tomorrow, Friday the 13th, and more. A lot of fun with truly awful games, although I must say that a lot of the soundtracks were headache-inducing (8 bit Ghost Busters theme on a loop, anyone?). He also played (or tried playing) Silver Surfer, where the music is very good but it's hard to get past the intro. Regrettably I had to leave the stream at one point as it was getting very late, but it was quite an experience. 4 stars.

Also, for sciatica you want Naproxen. She only has one left from four leftover from last time. We do have vimto chews and apple chews but despite (because of?) Dr Cranks strong advice she won't touch one.
