This morning I was going to try and catch up on sleep, if possible - first at 7.30 a cold calling autodialler called to make sure that I knew it was cold. Then Podiatry rang at 9 a.m. to let me know that Elizabeth was going to be coming* at 9 a.m. tomorrow... And I have been, unsurprisingly given the state of the roads, futilely calling the District Nurses ever since, to make sure that they set up their end of the arrangements. Still trying - tomorrow will be Hell. *I avoided the obvious joke, rather distracted by the landline phone screaming (Podiatry had given up on that and switched to the mobile) and not being able to see or think. Essential visit as I have a wonderful combo of 5 ingrown toenails and 3 corns that make walking a nightmare. Like this guy, but slower... |

I watched a bit of 'An Audience with Adele' the other night. Well, I was walking from the kitchen into the living room and standing there for a minute or so, before walking back into the kitchen.
I think there were some survivors from Grenfell tower in the audience because at one point Adele shouted 'Grenfell! Oi Oi!'
I didn't expect to hear those words.
