Morning, crankcaller - I hope your PM is getting better. I am pleased to report that my abscess is getting smaller! Also very, very relieved. Firstly, because the pain from my face and the wren's egg hiding in my cheek have largely disappeared and secondly, because it means that my immune system is now almost back to pre-leg-wreckage state (June 2012). Sadly all the leg-wreckage is singing its usual shitty pain song, but I find that I can bear that a lot easier. It also means that I am desperate for more sleep and hungry ...

Glad your gub is hopefully on the mend.
The PM. Well, the jury is out. Slightly better but still not sleeping.
We're putting up our Christmas tree today and I quote
"Please don't suck the joy out of it.."
So yeah, maybe she is getting better.

Are you putting the tree up yourself? No we’re putting it up in the living room.

Morning all!
Christmas party last night. I got there around 3pm, left at 11pm… a solid session. First time I’d seen the team in over twenty months. Good food, good chat, good booze.
Although I now need to take the boy to athletics. The instructor has a habit of getting the parents involved…

Hermes have lost my Mum's Xmas present. There does not initially seem to be any way of contacting them other than a completely useless online help bot.

This happened to me a while ago with the Switch for my grandchildren; Hermes 'lost' it (at a time when these things were selling for a pretty penny on Ebay). Forget about contacting Hermes, as you can see you are just wasting your time. Get in touch with the seller.

There is no joy in you putting up a Xmas tree while being moaned at, so you will be fine.

They are sold out now for that gift, so I don't think a resend is an option.

We are putting our tree up today too. I usually stay out of it so as to proactively avoid sucking all the joy out of it.

Hermes lost a large package, someone took package and then took my identity. Lot of pain trying to sort that out, people on phones were much more use than one company which only used online chat. Someone even went into the bank with fake Id trying it on which wasn’t great but nothing police would do as it not me defrauded but the companies. Who knows if they will press charges etc.

They are sold out now for that gift, so Idon't think a resend is an option. Depends on the seller, I had the same problem because it was a limited edition console and of course they were sold out. But the seller obviously kept some of them in reserve for exactly this scenario. The seller did their own internal investigation (which took several weeks, so not ideal for Xmas) and eventually simply asked me whether I preferred money back or a replacement. If Amazon is involved that's good because their sellers have strict regulations to resolve issues.

The lesson here I think is don't buy your mums present on the Dark Web.

Hullo.
Mrs T went out earlier with her Mum. Great, thinks Tids, let's boot up Forza. 12GB update. Fudgesticks.

I got that update as well….. gave me time to shuffle dog crate and tables around to make space for the imminent tree setting up palava, which may or may not happen this afternoon.
PM due home soon so I will probably be told to move it all back.
Forza does look impressive on super-wide-o-vision….. can’t wait to try Elite Danglies on it.

Who knows if they will press charges etc. This may grow into a very major pain and may start wrecking your credit score if your identity details get passed on to some other fuckers. CIFAS are the guys you need - £25 for 2 years protective registration. Back around 2000 I had immense aggro over this and taking this step was very helpful.

Started with the credit agency and notes have been put on cifas record. Waiting to see if anything else happens before signing on to that.

Lunch, Sausage sandwich with tinned chopped tomatoes and black pepper, on a baguette.
Hi
Sorry for not posting any inane drivel that nobody reads recently. I've been a bit, erm, 'clinically fed up'. Suffice to say that a week of not looking at 'news' online has perked me up and maybe, just maybe, not everyone in the world is a massive twat.
Also, we are half way through our loft conversion and the whole house is covered in a film of dust. I can taste it. Yum.
Games, none played. But the PM said the kids wanted to get me a game for xmas. Trouble is the 3 games I want are all out in February (Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, Horizon 2). So I have asked for Mass Effect Legendary edition. I only played about 3 hours of Mass effect 2 on Ps3 and none of the other two. I think I either got bored or something new came along. Hopefully will get into it this time. Everyone on here seems to love it.
OTTM, lamb curry for tonight. Lamb currently marinating in the fridge.
Tldr, Hi, Im not dead.

TuffersHi! Mass Effect is ace. The first few hours of the first game are probably the weakest. I've also just started Prey, which is shaping up nicely. Only 9.99 in case your family are looking to economise.
