Re the Far Cry 5 review, the comments seemed ok to me from the few I could be bothered to read, apart from a couple of numpties getting wound up by Riv (with supporting oscars going to Hum, Amipal and Crashdown). I almost posted a link to this place for Dylan37 until I clicked on his history and realised how many picks he has. What. A. Shittting. Bloody. Bastard.
My bodyclock is still very much on GMT.

There are ads to rent family homes shown at the bottom here now. I am still manfully going to work with my sore throat.

Morning,
It was raining when I went to leave the house today, so I took the train to avoid my usual half hour walk to work. Using skills honed during my teenage years, I was able experience the giddy high of travelling one stop on the train without paying. This £2.60 I've saved will both contribute to a lavish lunch and heap yet more misery on the Scottish Transport Minister, Humza Yousaf.

Morning, This £2.60 I've saved will both contribute to a lavish lunch and heap yet more misery on the Scottish Transport Minister, Humza Yousaf. He's Scottish Government Minister for Transport and the Islands. Bit of a weird title to add on the add for a transport minister, you deal with transport (fair enough) and are also responsible for all islands. Seems an odd combination. Do you have a minister for Welfare and Irn Bru up there as well?

I tried to put together a Sleaford Mods type ranting band called Replacement Bus Service. Never got of the ground due to time commitments.

Humza Yousaf needs to sort out the lack of 380 class trains running on the Gourock line and why the 385 class delivery is late so the 380's come back. West of Scotland train chat. Niche I realise....

I’m surprised some of you people aren’t deep in the 80’s films are the best article over at The Other Place. Classic click bait by the Gruan. They had a 00's are the best film decade a few days ago. No doubt a 90's and 70's one are in the pipeline. I would actually apply the Wenger argument, films were best when CGI was first being used well and good film writing craft was still valued.

Morning.
No train chat from me, as our local station got closed in 1941. Beechinged before Beeching. Since then there have been efforts to re-open it, but no local politician has been able to get their shit together, which tells you something about the quality of our local politicians.
Games chat: last night in Skyrim I cleared a fort of bandits. This task had given me grief before as I got constantly killed by a pair of thugs coming at me down a staircase, with me using shield and sword.
This fight really exemplified why Skyrim's combat is such a hot mess. Locking on to enemies was introduced by Ocarina of Time in 1998. 1998! I'm constantly flailing around, trying to keep track of my opponents, and sometimes it doesn't end well.
Yesterday I tried a different strategy, dropped down from an opening into the room below, heartily fus-ro-dahed at them and showed them my Orcish Warhammer of Frost. Piece of cake, really.
TLDR: Skyrim's combat sucks.

TLDR: Skyrim's combat sucks. Sometimes I find myself pressing the button for VATS, which would make things a hell of a lot easier. But stealth crossbow eliminates a lot of problems before it ever gets to that stage. Do you play first or third person view?

My quick recccie at Dark Souls on PS3 before the PS4 release is going smoothly. I killed the gaping dragon last night. After 9 hours the first time I played it I had killed the gaping dragon. Nor the butterfly, the capra demon, or the gargoyles.
I got cursed once when I got confused as to which weapon I was using.Twanging a curse frog with a bowstring does not seriously inconvenience it it turns out.
I did turn off my router at one point to remove an invader. I don't mind being invaded that much even if I die, but he was playing silly buggers. He wanted to fight only at a point where it was difficult for me to retrieve my souls. I am not walking into a crap ambush in an annoying position. I waited in the open for him for a few minutes, but when it was obvious he wasn't playing reasonably I booted him.
