Child is father to the man. I am obsolete. My heart leaps up when I behold an airdrop in the sky. So was it when my life began, so it is now I am a man, so shall it be when I grow old, or let me die!

As I am an uncultured man, I was thinking of Blood, Sweat and Tears. But now that you mention it, it does seem plausible that Wordsworth had played a precursor of Fortnite on his Babbage's Difference Engine 4.

I cannot in truth say that I have seen it, so I did not recognise that alternative reference, but I am happy to learn of it.

Just to expand on that, even though there is some shit I hate to share, I'm listening to Stormzy at the moment. I'm not really a total snobby poetry twat, honest.

In retrospect, I really don't know what I was thinking. Beat that for an embarrassing cultural reference.

That is great stuff. Straight into my top 5 Birmingham things, just ahead of Spaghetti Junction and right behind that Telly Savalas info film from the 70s.

For reals unclefucker. Lay me Bare was playing when I wrote that post (hence the "there is some shit I hate to share" quotation). I'm now listening to Lady Leshurr's Queen's Speech 4. I'm all about the grime, and not just 'cos I don't wash often enough.

I only wish When Blues win the cup was still on Youtube. Probably the second greatest song ever written. It doesn't matter whether it's on Youtube. It's still playing permanently in your head.
