I mean a scandal that centres on Boris Johnson having a party against the rules feeds into the image he’s fostered, which is an image that’s helped get him into power in the first place. It distracts from the quite nasty draconian stuff he and his government are doing on immigration and protest law.
He must be properly guffawing when he sees The Guardian and the Labour Party going for him on this. The idea of the Censorious Left, opposed to cheeky fun loving Boris.
It’s just … really playing into the government’s hands… or at least his hands. Boris Johnson’s hands …

I caught a patch of that cunt Silverwood saying how well they had prepared England for the Ashes. ~Managing~ the team through rotation, according to Silverwood, has allowed them to bring to the Gabba the England team with the best possible preparation.
Aussie bowled beautifully - they were ready. Apart from Habib, the top 5 batsmen evaporated like piss on a hot barbie - they patently weren't mentally ready.
