FFS... I can't bear to listen to the Ashes any more. By now you will know that I think Root is a terrible captain. Dropping Stuart Broad!? But also he's bereft of even Plan B and he's twitchy - contrast him with Morgan. Root with 50% wins is one of the most successful captains. Only Vaughan(51%) has a higher win rate going back to Brearley (58%) i the late 1970s. Also Root has won more tests as captain than anyone else. It is straightforward to make a case for him using the numbers. And yet.... I don't think anyone thinks he is actually a particularly good captain. He's good at making sure England steamroller weaker opposition. But there seem to be a lot of times when he misuses bowlers (Archer in particular), the England team seems a bit too clubby at times and there is little sense of strategy or building for the future. The other problem is there is no one to take over. Morgan won't do it. He's got back problems, has never been a regular test player and is at the end of his career anyway. Stokes is about the only player I can think of who is sufficiently senior an guaranteed a spot, but I'm not sure he should be captain. And it is a big burden if he is struggling a bit. I suppose the next contender would be Buttler, but he's far from convincing. I can see why England don't want to change, despite a nagging sense that they ought to. If there was an outstanding candidate then I think it would be different. |

It's still really hard to get a new console, huh? I need a new GPU soon as mine is starting to struggle with Fortnite now and is 2.5 years old, unfortunately the next range of GPUs is likely to be in extremely high demand and I can't justify spending too much on a GPU. My 5700xt cost £380 in July 2019 and they go for around £500 now second hand, the whole situation is ludicrous.

Finished Japanese sex dungeon game.
Before going onto NG+ I want to finish collecting the little red dudes, I have 179/200, the Demon compendium is at 41% so might fuse some of the higher ones.
My dude finished with drain fire, reflect elec and null everything else.
I did get the DLC so grinding for xp and money was kept to a minimum. 4*

I've got ahead of the game this year by starting my Christmas drinking early. I haven’t had an alcoholic beverage since Friday night. I think I may have drunk too much, well past 100% on the volume gauge. But I also think my new-found warhermitry has helped. I can’t be drinking while undertaking careful painting. |

Had another appointment with Ms Lateral and Mr Flow as I was due to go into the office. Turns out I'm still positive for bat aids and so now not allowed out of our lodgings for another week. I';; be honest, against all expectations, this whole trapped in my house thing is wearing thin.

I can't over empathise how moribund I am at the moment. I'm this close to sacking it all in and playing Destiny. Destiny!
I lie, it would be more like trying to free up space on the ps5 to download destiny for 5 hours while sitting around in my underpants.
Crankers - you'll probably want an external USB with the PS5, for PS4 games or to offload PS5 games. It is a cramped bungalow of a games console.
