I am also planning a cottage pie. Carrots will be grated into the pie mix, as is the weird way of the PM. I put pre-cooked carrots and peas in with the mince.

lazybonesYour hat is in the Brexit-blizzard, mired in logistical and customs red tape. I think you’re right. I ordered something from Greece yesterday too. Paid for the most expedited of deliveries… Hoping I can get it by next weekend. I am a fool.

Did Trumpism begin with Columbo?
Lieutenant Columbo - sticking it to the arrogant metropolitan liberal elite.

I think I’m going to buy some spaghetti. Hopefully the extremely long type that you can share from a bowl in the middle of the table.

Did Crank get his Bugatti? Who knows. You can possibly only receive one a week as well. Someone gave me a Nissan. I drove to the place as I assumed it was the Bugatti.

I think you may have to go into the Cars menu>buy/sell cars and have a butchers at the options. I don't think there's a limit to donations from strangers. I'll have a look in a mo.

Hello. My sister and fam have been over for lunch. Originally it was going to be lunch somewhere. I was left to organise and therefore couldn't get anywhere. Apparently folk go out for food at Xmas with friends and family. Who knew? But probably for the best.

I also had the dubious pleasure of installing a HP printer after our trusty Brother finally bit the dust.
Was it straightforward? Was it fuck. It wasn't helped by HP's persistent attempts to persuade me to take advantage of their 6 month trial of HP+ and their frank astonishment that I was not interested.

Hello there.
I have been thoroughly disappointed by Bill Gates's microchip programme. It's not helping me to synch with my new laptop one little bit.
The new machine is wonderful, excellent screen (for the first time I'm noticing that some of you have avatars with a terrible resolution. I'm going to turn into an unbearable graphics snob), compact and light and fast and everything that I've wanted. However, I'm still busy transferring my stuff from the old laptop to the new one.
Long story short, I managed to back up most of my files to Microsoft's OneDrive Cloud (I also always have backup on an external drive, but I thought that, you know, it's the 21st century, they've given me 1 TB of space in the Cloud, I'm sure that Microsoft has a clever programme that makes transferring files from one PC to another child's play. You know, like the Nintendo transfer tool where all the little Pikmin come along and carry your stuff to the new machine. Adorable.)
But of course this is MS and they don't do user friendly. While all my files synched up easily on the new laptop, they remained in the Cloud, and in the 'Backup and Restore' section of the settings there's no actual 'Restore' option the way it used to be when you just created a system image. Congratulations, all your files are safe in the Cloud! And they are still going to be safe in the Cloud when you are going to visit your Mum in her volcanic lair without internet over Christmas!
So I actually had to google how to compress and download everything in batches. So that's what I'm doing right now. It's like watching Microsoft Paint dry.
A related question, what's up with Bethesda's game launcher? On my new screen all the writing is blurry and it looks as if it hasn't been updated since they released Skyrim for the first time.
At least I managed to locate my disc drive and my installation disc for Endnote and it's working, although that cnut MS system has been complaining that some of my meticulously crafted pathway names are too long. Wimp.
When I was first setting up Windows 10 I was asked whether I wanted to download 11 for later, so I said "sure". Once it had done that it insisted on installing 11. Fortunately it didn't work, so now I'll do it when I'm good and ready and it's out of beta.
tl;dr: Bill Gates's 5G is shit.
