Warhermitblog: boy went over his friend’s house yesterday morning, so with that and an hour last night, I made good headway. Should hopefully get the five marines I’ve been working on “over the line” today.

Glad to hear that you are still there. Although I suppose there will be "increased efficiency", i.e. your workload will now include that of those who have left as you are left to pick up the pieces. Checking the new train times for the reduced running on Scotrail from today.
Will need to get up earlier than I have been of late. Or be very late.
Got a slightly sore back. I think it's a hangover from the too soft bed at the PM's folks. Perhaps some gentle exercise will help. A walk or the like.

Horrible shock to the system having to work today. I got an old monitor of my brother to use for work, but my work laptop docking station is too old for HDMI so I need to find the ancient cable I have buried somewhere.
I wish people would stop emailing me.

Last day of my quarantine and I have recorded my temperature and my lack of symptoms for the last time. Tomorrow I'll upload my super boring quarantine diary for the Gesundheitsamt. The poor things there have their work cut out as for the first time they can no longer give case numbers because as a result of Christmas parties there are now more cases than they can process, with infections as the result of New Year's Eve parties still coming. Last night I watched an interview with the local health secretary who was asked whether he regretted leaving bars and clubs open over Christmas. Of course he dodged the question and emphasised that they must meet the challenge head on. I'm sure the poor sods drowning in the paperwork on their desks this morning will agree. I've already obtained footage of the process:  Presumably this best work practice will be widely shared. With case numbers like this on a small island I don't actually feel like ending my splendid isolation. Problem is that we need food and hygiene products. The curse of consumerism. Tomorrow morning when I'm allowed outside the plan is to get my mum's old bicycle going so that I can get to the shops with minimum human contact. I'm hoping to pick up more LFTs as well. Keeping my completely unvaxxed mother safe is beginning to look like a major challenge. |

I have approximately 80 grammes of blue cheese left and a snifter portion of sherry. Also some Christmas chocolate under the bed.
I am feeling pretty empty though. What I could do with is more money and a skiing holiday.

Spotify have just pushed me one of their playlists described as 'Great tunes old and new for fans of real music.'
It's just a load of generic semi-alternative rock. But the description seems dismissive of anyone who doesn't like generic semi-alternative rock.
But what are they saying to people who don't like generic semi-alternative rock? My guess is they have an equally toadying message, dismissing 'real music' fans.
