My Spotify weekly playlist has the 12" of Why by Carly Simon. Balearic-tastic.
And then spoils it all with Throwing Muses, Lush, Sundays, Mazzy Star. They probably meant to send them over to lazy.
I actually like those bands and have owned "vinyls" as the kids say by them.
They all went in the great vinyl purge when I moved in with the PM. Some of the 4AD ones are worth some money now. Mutter mutter.

I am mildly distraught, I had a routine once* a week I'd go to M&S to get some fresh food** and then go to my local, have a few Buds get cab home.
Marks is closing this Saturday and my local has a sign saying "closed indefinitely".
I am currently sitting in a rather grim 'Spoons whilst it's raining outside pondering the future routine.

I need / want a new naming convention for Spotify playlists. Sometimes it's obvious what to call a playlist but lots of times they're just sort of ... based on a feeling ...
I've started identifying them with pictures but they still need a name.
It's tough.

Lazy has a playlist called Miami Sunrise. He also has one called Shenguin is an arse* - it's full of Leonard Cohen.
*He doesn't. I made that up.
My best playlist title is 'Una Stubbs Tears'.
{Edit} The actual playlist isn't that great tbh. It's got some good stuff but doesn't flow. It's a waste of a name.

I've just had a bash on Forza, 'Drift Championship'. What a load of balls. I came 8th in the first one, but, invoking typical Tids fighting spirit, came 4th in the second. Then I found the rumble function on my controller wasn't working. I rebooted the XBox and all is well.
OTTDM: I tried out some Xmas gift shampoo (...and conditioner) last night, it boasted Caffeine as a major ingredient. 'Anything for science', thinks Tids.
I woke up with hair looking like Ken Dodd's.
It's been a hell of a day.

I just tried your curry potato hack but sadly it wasn’t powerful enough to nullify the salt content of the paneer jalfrezi. The rogue ingredient turned out to be the tomato puree. Bomba! Tomato puree from Waitrose. Don’t ask for it by name. |

Does anyone have a direct line to the product manager at BenQ?
The bloomin’ “auto adjust” button on my monitor is an absolute pet-peeve of mine. Messes up a perfectly adequate Amiga screen every time.
All the buttons are underneath the monitor so you can see them, and operate by touch alone. But they all feel the same.
I’m going to glue something onto it, something that says “No! Not this one, amipal.”

I just had another excellent race on Forza. There was a beautiful moment of sportsmanship* as I came onto the main straight and realised another team member (right behind me) was much a bit faster than me. I pulled off the racing line, gave him two toots of the horn and let him past. He gave me me two toots back. I then had a massive accident.
