I did a few searches last week to see if I could find the 'Gros Michel' banana. A number of the websites I went on were for specialist grocers. Now every site I go on is giving me adverts for offal and meat. Come on guys.  |

I think my turnip was a swede. It was a kind of orangey colour when I cut into it. Did it have orange fuzz on it too? I'd be very wary of that. |

following on from my stunning performance in worldle earlier I am now full of vim. Maximum Terry.
Watched more Yellowjackets last night, its top banana. Very 90s. Lovely stuff.
Games - no. Games have been moribund for some time, I don't have the gaming spirit in me at the moment. That will hopefully soon change with the arrival of top children's game Pokemon Arceus on Friday. I can only assume ten then tenth enemy has the deluxe edition that comes with a life sized statue of Greg Wallace embedded in the cartridge.

Like Sheep I'm playing on hard mode, but unlike Sheep I'm not actually playing on hard mode, I just pretend to. To me it makes sense to use the info you get.

It's the only reason I switched hard mode on. It doesn't prevent you from putting a known letter in the same wrong place. But it does prevent some basic errors. Not that I would make a basic error. |

Too many chores; I am not temperamentally* suited to being Mrs Mop *Aptly made up of temper and mentalI made some moves last night in Neptune's Pride which were, frankly, terrible - at the game's slow pace, I'm going to have to watch the bulk of my carefully amassed fleet continue to move in the wrong direction and back again until Thursday whilst one of my enemies will be joyfully snacking on my luscious border stars... Worse still, he's a friend and he's already having it large with the 🤣 emojis. |

Lunch, soup. I have a soup range to make any soup lover green with envy. I already had some Baxters Oxtail in, plus 3 (THREE) different flavors of cup-a-soup. Then I popped into B&M Bargains yesterday, where Heinz soup was on offer, 4 (FOUR) tins for £3. I plumped for a lentil, a chicken, a tomato and a minestrone. I can't decide. Crosse & Blackwell Roast Chicken and Vegetable Soup.

I always do puzzles and quizzes fully erect. That's just basic. If you go to settings you can switch hard mode on. All it does is incorporate your previous guess, so if you have two letters right you have to use them each go. It only makes it harder if you have 3 or 4 letters already and there is a significant choice left. It stops you guessing five new letters to rule things out or in |

I think I just assume that any answer under three attempts is a fluke. And anything over three will sink your spirits. So you should go all out to get it in three. If that means no letters on the second line then so be it.
I would like to hold my head high with Jonny and Jonelle Big Bananas, though, so maybe it will have to be Hard Mode from now on ...
