got lucky with the second guess

Morning all!

Mother in law’s birthday yesterday, so lots of pizza for the assembled celebrators as well as lashings of wine. I wandered home afterwards, stuffed with pizza crust.

Gamesblog: Syndicate! On the Amiga! I have all of Europe.

Warhermitblog: got the morning off work, so doing some conversion work on a tank.

OTTM: due to the extended-nature of our kitchen, two kitchen designs had to be produced: one which assumed the pillars holding the house up could be removed, and the other which assumed not.
Unfortunately, said pillars cannot be removed. And so we’ve had a look at plan-B, as it were.
Except Plan-B doesn’t bare much resemblance to what is possible with the room.
And so we’re having an emergency meeting this morning with the kitchen designer to correct this.

Eyeball 1 update.
Yesterday bloodshot and felt bruised, like I’d had fisticuffs with a young Tuffers.
Today looking more normal.
Knocked a lens out of my old eyewear so I could read the blurb they sent me home with, using eyeball 2. Turns out my new bionic implant is +11 diopters. No wonder I can’t see bugger all!

Getting some distance vision back in new eye, but reading not an option. Nor I guess is screenwork. May have to have a chat with work about that.

Unexpected benefit? The colours maaaan! What I thought was normal using eyeball 2 is actually like looking through an old nicotine stained pub window when compared to the new one. Blues in particular have a new vibrancy.

Downsides? I have lost my short sight. Before, I could focus in minute detail at something an inch from my nose. Now I’m barely able to focus on my feet. Guess I’ll still need specs for anything close up, but won’t be able to sort that for a few weeks after getting eyeball 2 upgraded.

Am typing this with a stick, as distance perception is a bit off at the moment.

Think I might download Exo One as it’s probably one I can play in blurry-o-vision.
