Games!. Played Exo One. Was OK. Felt very much like Journey, so if you enjoyed that, then its worth a punt. Got a bit repetitive, and works best with a controller instead of k/m. Took about 3 hours to complete in monovision. YMMV.
One level i had abolutely no idea what I was doing, but it was very pretty nontheless.
3 stars. 4 if stoned.

I was baking the swede. The result was delicious. It just took so long. Two hours at 250. Ideally I think it would have been three hours. Three hour baked swede does sound good. Did you eat the skin as well? I did.

Recently, things have not been working for me. For example, yesterday I attempted to buy a Next voucher as a birthday present (not my idea, I hasten to add; it's what they wanted). After paying for it and watching the money leave my account I was surprised to get both a text message and an email asking me to phone Next's credit check department.
Said department was clearly a WFH affair (you can always tell by the sound of pets or children in the background), good for them. However, it was totally unclear what this was for beyond conducting a random check whether I was the owner of the card, something that I've only seen so far done by the associated bank. Anyways, the woman was being reassuring. First question was about my current address and I remembered where I live. So far, so good. Next question was about my previous address. That was more tricky because my previous address from over 20 years ago is not in this country. The woman put me on pause for a while and eventually told me that unfortunately there was a lack of information and so they couldn't sell me the voucher with a clear conscience. The money would be returned to me within 3-4 days, but I was free to go to my nearest Next store and get a voucher there. As if.
So I went to the Boden website and got a voucher from them because they had no scruple selling me one.
Edit: one result is that I keep seeing Boden ads

Edit: one result is that I keep seeing Boden ads I get my bank asking me about specific transactions on a seemingly random basis. Often you can see why (eg purchase foreign currency without telling them you're travelling), but one time they blocked a £1.59 purchase of Deus Ex from GOG.com as it had been flagged as suspicious. They get in touch by sending a text message from a random number asking you to confirm the transaction (i.e. exactly the kind of message their website warns you to treat as suspicious). Late capitalism is pretty baffling at times.

Maybe you've been flagged as associating online with known fraudsters like babyfark

Late capitalism is pretty baffling at times. I get this as well. It sometimes takes a while for the text message to come through so I have to insist to the person at the counter that my money is in the bank, then go outside to call them. I do always get a jolt, though, thinking that maybe this is it. This is the day I lost everything.

Games: another thing that wasn't working for me was my Switch Pro Controller with my new laptop. Plugging it in via USB was charging it but it didn't show up in the list of devices. I had bought a new laptop and installed Steam practically only for one purpose: to finally play Trails in the Sky myself after sitting through dozens of hours of streaming with someone else playing it. Just last Sunday the session of Trails in the Sky SC lasted until past one in the morning, and the only problem was that I had missed two or three previous sessions and had literally lost the plot. Everyone in the chat was trying to bring me up to date, but I got the impression that they had no idea how far behind I was. But it really is an excellent game series. Yes, I could have played with touchpad & keyboard, but I don't really like that. When I play a game I want a controller in my hands, sorry. It's one reason why I don't get on with mobile games, either. Long story short, I got it to work (after discovering that I also had to resurrect my Bluetooth). Since we were recently talking about hard mode in games, these choices gave me pause: (for those who don't know, Aidios is the goddess of the Trails universe) I forget what the difference is, but because I'm not a cunt I chose [Normal]. It'll do.

Apparently windows doesn't detect it but Steam does.

Three hour baked swede does sound good. Did you eat the skin as well? I did. Par boil it first and then roast it with Brussel sprouts, cook lots of sprouts for eating cold later. Mashed swede is the best for topping a cottage pie of some sort. Using dead sheep or dead cows won't tempt you but Quorn type things would be ok.

Years before I had two-kitchens, I was in Hong Kong buying some tourist tat. I used my credit card, and then got a call from my bank on my mobile-tele-ma-phone.
Basically, the fraud flag had gone up because transactions had gone through in both Britain and HK on the same day. What they didn’t seem to realise was that the UK one was a direct debit for my internet connection.
I’d also phoned them up prior to flying to tell them I’d be in Hong Kong.

Wrap it in tinfoil so its dense energies turn in on themselves.

This evening, I went into the wilds of Mexico on a sort of "convoy" with some yanks. It ended up in an Estadio or something, I dunno. By that time lazybones was making such a racket that I had to release him from the trunk.
