Morning manifesters!
Last night I watched that Grand Turismo stream, and learnt how clouds are formed, and that our ears can detect sounds. Looking forward to the Horizon Forbidden West preview where we learn about oxbow lake formation.
Also - Yellowjackets. Its getting spoopy. Not sure how I feel about that.

I might stop 'liking' Wordle posts of 3 or better. I started it and it felt nice, but recently the experience has left me feeling a bit empty and I've begun to question what I'm doing with my life.

The last 24 hours have been painful. So…Here’s what’s happened… Original kitchen design had a gas hob and single-oven. We rushed to kitchen place last week to say no, we wanted a double-oven. And so they selected a double-oven for us. None in the showroom to see, advised that can’t return if packaging removed. Fine. Fast forward to yesterday, and a lightbulb goes in the study. I’m working with 50% less illumination now (it’s a two-bulb unit*). I then get a PCN letter through from Brighton & Hove council, having driven through a “bus gate” in their newly-laid-out “Valley Gardens” development. I have now educated myself after the fact, something which can’t be done when you’re in busy and fast-moving traffic at night and with poor signage. Anyway, the builders fitted the new oven without me knowing. I hadn’t seen it being delivered, and don’t get to look in it til 8pm last night. To my horror, I discovered that it was much too small*. There is no way that someone can cook a roast for four people in that oven. A measurement of volume is meaningless versus “here’s a photo with a big bird shoved in there*”. And so we come to today. I’ve had a word with the building company, who have had a word with the kitchen company, who have confirmed that they can’t take it back and refund us. At least the hob and countertop hadn’t been fitted… so that can go back. I’ve just placed an order for a free-standing unit* which is due for delivery at some point tomorrow. Good times. * much like Tuffers “THIS”. |

My mother's home insurance company have sent all her renewal docs to me. I've spoken to her about this and her assessment of the situation was, "What a bunch of wallys".

Lookup changes to road layouts prior to your journey.
Work out what volume might be before placing an order, or insist on seeing what your ordering.

Anyone got a decent sized microwave oven / grill (greater than 24 litres) that they would recommend? This is my current one... The selector rheostats are very hit and miss... I am much more interested in quality than price... assuming that you have a Bosch, tenthenemy would you recommend and what is it. |
