After Tuesday's failure to draw blood samples from me, I'm hoping that tomorrow's nurse isn't Chinese!

After Tuesday's failure to draw blood samples from me, I'm hoping that tomorrow's nurse isn't Chinese! It’s quite clear, to be fair to them. I’ve seen worse notes.

This game appears to be based on lazybones' sojourn in the Highlands...

Big treat for the dog. Socks off so he can get his tongue deep down between the toes. One of the world's most ticklish pastimes.

Should you be putting socks on the dog in the first place?

9/15 Thank you all very much for the birthday wishes! Surjit delivered my game on time, but instead of collecting pocket monsters I was busy trying to get the old microwave out of the way and setting up the very shiny* new one. This is when I discovered that on my totally flat and level kitchen counter the microwave wobbles. Basically, two of its four little feet are too long, or, conversely, two are too short and are hovering 2 to 3 mm over the surface. At first I thought that the feet are adjustable, but a quick check with Panasonic shows that this is not the case. So I followed their advice and stopped the setup. Since it's a present I need to discuss with the gift giver whether they want me to send it back - in principle I don't mind putting some cardboard underneath, on the other hand things are clearly not as they should be. Good thing I wasn't planning on having a microwaved meal tonight. Dinner: Two items that had been clogging up my fridge were a tub of crème fraîche and some mushrooms. I combined the two with chicken and pasta along these lines: www.foodinaminute.co.nz/recipe/chicken-with-mustard-crme-fraiche-162941Pretty tasty and leftovers for tomorrow. All the stars. OT discussion: Ye gods (= Elohim; yes, it's a plural. That tells you all you need to know), the Wikikane articles on Phoenicia and its history are so much behind current scholarship it's giving me high blood pressure. *the door doubles as a mirror

Happy birthday tenthen, happy dinosaurs day to everyone else. Why is robo dinos so expensive on ps store? Will look into Jeff or an actual bricks and mortar place for other options.

Well, it keeps him happy.

Went to Nando’s for dinner earlier. Someone loudly proclaimed that that had “lemon and ‘erb” sauce.
But not in the “I don’t talk good” way. In the Yankee-doodle way.

Weather blog: I expect there's more action in Shenguin's undercrackers at the moment. It's that quiet here. Pink Floyd on standby.

I'm watching Assassin's Creed the movie. Fassbender is ok, but he's no Danny Wallace.
