I listened to the Shipping Forecast and all of the Southern coastal areas from Whitby around to mid-Wales at some stage will have Violent Storm 11 winds. Here in the South Midlands the peak gusts of 67 mph are forecast for 11 a.m...

Thanks amipal. I donβt know how objective it is - about the causes anyway. The narrative that Ukraine is simply an independent country that wants to be part of the west keeps being repeated, when the democratically elected government there was violently overthrown in 2014 to install a pro-western government instead. There is this idea that that coup was backed by the US and western European countries. Iβm not sure what the evidence for that is but the EU and the US did appear to rush to recognise the new government. It would be like having the government in one of the countries adjacent to the UK overturned by a pro-Russian coup which then gets recognised by Russia. A bit like it anywayβ¦

As far as I can see the blizzards dissipated before they reached this area of the highlands. Maybe a smattering of snow outside.
Iβve also realised just how big the Cairngorms are. Well β¦ at least how big The Cairngorms National Park is. Massive. And Aviemore is perched right on the edge. What will it take to attain the mysteries of the montagne area?
Maybe a cab?

If you get bored of perusing Aviemore's numerous outdoor shops, there's a place a few miles away where you can visit and feed a herd of reindeer. It's quite good if you like that sort of thing. It's in my top 2 Aviemore things to do, after Waterstones.

Snowing. BBC weather says snow all-day in Aviemore. Are the MSM lying to us?
Lazy needs to get on twitch and debunk these shysters.
Hello. Games. Yes! TV. Yes!

(C) TripAdvisor This is good content. I went to Waterstones yesterday and bought a book on the Cairngorms βA secret historyβ, as well as a map and a book of walks. I think we went to the pub by the bridge last night. We had a bit of a falling out there unfortunately - the pm and myself. Was I in the wrong? Who knows. I felt pretty right at the timeβ¦.
