13 Ukrainians are going to be posthumously honoured for refusing to surrender a small island off the coast. They apparently told the Russians to go fuck themselves, and were then bombed to death.
I think I would have just surrendered.
It's all getting a bit Game of Thrones now, we have an ambitious evil dictator (Putin), a gullible pacifist (EU) and various heros coming to the fore (Klitschko brothers) and an evil puppet master in the background (maybe China).
Just needs some dragons (read nuclear weapons) and some big tits (see Boris Johnson).

“Bombed to death” has that same unnatural ring to it that “shot to death” has. Shot dead is my preferred reading of the latter.
So “bombed dead”? Or just “killed by the Russian navy”?

Yet to ring in the new ring yet today. Hopefully it will be rung in this afternoon during a break in hostilities. I was planning on staying up til midnight to ring in the new ring but I ended up going to bed at half ten.
Who to play as? Big lad with a big sword? A night in shining amour? A deceitful hunter with a bow? A cheaty wizard? The ring is my oyster.
