What kind of Loco motive does she have for doing that? Do they only make toast at the weekends or something? People are weird.
My mum also puts her toaster back in the cupboard after use, without its box, though. That's because, you guessed it, she only uses at the weekends. She also uses special "toast bread"* because most German bread doesn't need toasting and most people get freshly baked buns/rolls from the local bakery for breakfast. Since the bakeries are closed on Sundays you only need a toaster at the weekend. My mother also insists on placing the toaster on the dining table, but that's a different story. *This Wikikane article de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toastbrot explains that in the UK raw toast** is known as bread. ** Woah woah woah. German bread doesn't need toasting? What if you want to make toast?

Germany efficiency π
While we're all lounging around making toast, the Germans have already finished breakfast and at work keeping their economic wheels turning. Broken Britain.

I've bought Elden Ring. Played for an hour or thereabouts. Found a dungeon straight away before I'd even swung my axe in anger. Spent a long time getting killed by fire but I did also find some baddies to try killing. Anyway after getting burned to death 5 or 6 times I gave up and went back in the direction it was originally pointing me towards and came upon a settlement of soldiers, someone helpful left a note suggesting I lure them out 1 at a time, which I tried to do with limited success. After dying several more times I gave up again switched it off. The End. 5 Stars. That was on Sunday afternoon. Yesterday I got very drunk instead of doing games. Tonight I will go back and try again and maybe include less getting killed so much. And maybe find some sweet loot. A friend of mine is replaying through Destiny2 though, which is a tempting distraction and likely to involve more killing than being killed. I did this settlement on Sunday. Lots of L3 sneaking and R1 back stabbing. And if you do get rumbled, leg it into the fields.. after about 20 yards of chasing you they no longer care that you've brutally murdered their mate and they turn around and walk back. Took me a while. I left blue feather knight til last, he's proper buff. There are some nice rewards once you're free to pick them up.

I have tried several breads whilst physically inside Germany and can confirm that they all seemed toastable, whether they needed toasting or not is unclear.

Yes I managed to kill about 5 guys, then isolated the knight guy, but he stabbed me to death without much effort.

I dont know playstation buttons,
Do you mean crouching and charged heavy attack from behind? Ive been sneaking up behind them, charged heavy attack then 2 swipes with quicker attack and they are dead without attacking me back.
Or can you perform a more lethal backstab that I dont know about?

I finally became ok in parrying right at the end of Dark Souls, with the end of game boss. Since then I have returned to being hopeless - at least in Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2. It feels hard to experiment with it because if you get to wrong you can easily lose half of your life. My man in Dark Souls 2 is a sort of knight - decked out in full plate armour but known for his skills in magic. No need for parrying hopefully.

Yes, exactly that. Although it's not enough to take out that big knight in one go, hence the leg it (cowardice) til he gets bored of chasing, then sneak back up on him. I'm sure he'll be easy after a few months of levelling up! Edit : I use the one handed attack

I always use normal atk for backstab. I use R1 which gives that sort of cinematic with great sound effects to let you know you've hit the sweet spot and caused a lot of damage. I think R2 is two handed attack, which I don't use.

i watched some twitch streamer get smooshed about 25 times on the trot to some rune-bear in a cave. It's been bugging me that as i fell asleep i never got to see if he ever beat it, or if he's still there in a perma-loop of teeth and claws.

After today's mauling I could really do with an Armagnac* *the beautiful, smooth drink that goes down like mellow, liquid fire, not a member of the prominent French party during the Hundred Years' War.

A word to the wise: If you remember eating two half pounders in your youth in one go and think you can replicate that at home when you are older, you can't. after testing this theory (2 HP with cheese and lettuce) I can honestly say it is dangerous for your stomach and sanity. I AM FULL.

Stoopid mistake on the upper left one, could have done it in 7. I'm blaming this stoopid cold.
I'm starting to lose my sense of taste. Hate it when that happens.
Btw, the LFT kits I ordered yesterday arrived this morning. Hurry, hurry while stocks last.
