According to the Internet there is a combat tutorial in the first 5 mins of elden ring. Which is total BS as I scoured those first bits thoroughly. I'll go back and check later, might learn something When you wake up there are two choices, leave or jump down to a cave, that is where the tutorial is. |

Pouch (which includes horse calling) - hold. Triangle and press dpad right. Same to get off horse.
These are PS5 buttons (sure some Xbox pervert can translate)

Maybe it went there automatically though because mine is the same Sandy: Pouch - start menu then move over to the boxes on the right and press the button to switch the shortcut. You can put the ashes of the summons in there and then use them to summon them, but only when the blue glowy gate icon thing appears in the bottom left, usually when there are enenemis around or in a boss fight. The big guardian dog cat monster is a right bastard. top banana. |

Instead of dying a lot in Souls World, I attempted control points in Legendary level on my own in Division 2. It's hard. No it's not, Hard is easy. This is harder. I died. A lot. Now to clean the house. The weekend is almost here lads n lassie. sandybahookie Did you get a laptop? Acer currently have a sale on as do Alienware. I ended up going for an ASUS zenbook 13. touch screen laptop with pen thing.
i5 8gb ram.
Not really for gaming. feels good thats its lighter and portable. Can distract the kids with the drawing on screen pen function. It has a great oled screen, but the side effect of a good picture is the bad streaming quality being more obvious. bah

I saw some glowy shit in that cave but it looked to be on higher ground to me and I couldnt reach it. The old ghost telling me to go and learn stuff just made me think he understood how little I know about how to play in general and sort of wishing me luck in the game.
Jumping off the edge of a dark cliff was exactly what I thought 'they' would expect me to do and then taunt me for being dead.
I'll go back and check again

The distance you are allowed to fall in Souls games is pretty low. In Dark Souls 2 it sometimes feels as if my man’s died from a twisted ankle.

Or it feels much higher. More so on horseback. You can *jump* in Elden Ring. A literal game changer. I think you can also use the horse double jump to break a fall although I'm not sure. The double jump on the horse is fantastic, a jaunty little hop. |

I've told 2 people off today.
1) Tootsie for not doing a proper job of cleaning up her rubbish from the other day.
2) Some beefie workmen for chucking a bottle of, I don't what, off the fourth floor. "Oi MATE!, Is that yours?".
I think I'll have a shave now and put a false nose on, possibly a fake moustache.

I bought some shoes at lunchtime. In the space of a few days my one pair went from being perfectly respectable to feeling like bin-bags held together with string. The new ones seem ok.
