Exciting wholesome Ring chat:
Had my first go since sunday last night and made a little progress, figured out a few things, cleared out the first soldier settlement and got some sweet gear, then encountered my first giant and ran away. Farmed the soldiers for a while and worked on improving my dire combat abilities then went back to the first dungeon I died in with all the fire last sunday.
On the way there I found another cave with some wolves in it and my first optional boss. Lo and behold I killed him on the first attempt by smashing the RB attack right up in his face. Full of confidence I went onward to the original fire cave dungeon and cleared it out no probs.... til the boss, which is a cat with its tail on fire and a human face, but called 'Guard Dog something something'. As much as I tried I couldnt defeat it. Tried to figure out summoning, which didnt go well and I kept getting sent off to help other people, eventually figured out how to see signs and got some help for my boss but he still managed to kill all 3 of us.
Full of bitterness I left the cave defeated to explore for a while, Came upon a giant who was out for a pleasant stroll, I vented my cave rage on him and although I won the battle I feel like he still cheated me in death by not leaving me any loot to show for it.
Having beaten a giant I thought Id go back to the castle bit and try to go further on the path, and through a combination of running past enemies and stealth I eventually found Margaret. I summoned a badass sorceror and we (mostly them) managed to get almost half Margarets life bar down before being killed yet again.
And that was enough, my brain was absolutely exhausted.
So the things I cant figure out are
how to summon spirits, I have the bell, and two kinds to call on. No idea how to use any of them.
how to put items on the d-pad for quick selection.
how to use the 'pouch' , it seems impossible.
Ive tried my horse a few times, need to practice. But assume I can put my call horse command into a d-pad slot because summoning him takes me ages in the menus...

I went bowling and now I have stiff legs and a terrible pain in my neck. This from two games, I got 104 and 90.

Instead of dying a lot in Souls World, I attempted control points in Legendary level on my own in Division 2. It's hard. No it's not, Hard is easy. This is harder. I died. A lot. Now to clean the house. The weekend is almost here lads n lassie. sandybahookie Did you get a laptop? Acer currently have a sale on as do Alienware. |

I watched ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ last night, and played Dark Souls 2. I made some extremely unimpressive progress with Dark Souls 2. The little progress I did make only came about because the soldiers / zombies seemed to eventually stop showing up. A part of me felt I had bored them. Another part felt maybe they were showing me pity - or the game was showing me pity. Workaday, grinding, unimpressive progress.

According to the Internet there is a combat tutorial in the first 5 mins of elden ring. Which is total BS as I scoured those first bits thoroughly.
I'll go back and check later, might learn something

I played Back4Blood last night with a non-random and randoms. One of these was called 'KillerScot' and he was, indeed, Scottish. The 'Killer' bit was not so accurate. 'GettingknockedonmyarsetimeandtimeagainScot' would be more apt. Still he was entertaining, if unintelligible at times.
The highlight of the games was me turning off the Xbox by mistake and then naffing off to scoff some food. 4*
