Morning
Feeling well grotty today and a sharp pain in the left kidney region that wasn't there yesterday.
Plugging on in unmodded Cities Skylines. Gongville now has 116000 population and not ONE traffic light or stop sign. Perhaps this is why i seem to have a high death rate. Harrumph.
Am tempted to start a new city, and go for complete dystopia. All high-rise... no law or fire services.... cram industry and residential as close as possible... Max pollution... It might just work.

Is there a farmer in the Elden Ring map? A stout yeoman, consistently furious that demons worry his sheep. I hope so. I watched a video of a West Midlands character yesterday. βDonβt worry about moy. Iβm just a Craven.β

Gong, unless you're certain the pain is muscular, then it's probably indigestion. However, if it's accompanied by a high temperature, flu-like symptoms, blood discharge from any orifice, or vomiting, then make sure your will is in order, post a brief message on here saying goodbye, and lie down somewhere private and comfortable, and wait quietly.

I just had a burrito.
It was delicious.
On the way to a branch of Caffe Nero I went past what looked to be the site for another burrito vendor - Plan Burrito. In the window it had a 1970s style image of a burrito, cut in half, as well as a picture of a 1970s cartoon sombrero.
Maybe Iβll walk past on the way back and find a completely bare unit. Maybe Plan Burrito closed 30 years ago.

Who would be put in place as a puppet regime? All living previous presidents have stated that they would not work with Russia. And which domestic forces would support this puppet regime? Again, none. With no popular support, thereβs no way Putin has a hope of holding the country.

With no popular support, thereβs no way Putin has a hope of holding the country. Viktor Yanukovich maybe, shored up by the Russians. I think popular insurrection (backed by NATO) against a puppet President, was one of the possible trajectories.

It's pretty obvious what the best solution is.
The Queen claims Ukraine. Everyone gets a free Sir Harold shirt and is allowed to drive on the left. Plus, and this is the clincher, any costs to arrange all this are off-set by the savings made by Ukraine being able to use UK as the abbreviation for the country.
Your welcome.

Iβm all for war with Russia. Toe to toe. But - as with the Queensbury Rules - youβve got to take a few things off the table.

an iPad that was refusing to boot. It's a trap. They're probably announcing New iPads tonight and this is to make you think you need a new one. Glad you're not falling for it.

Just swap the position of your sewer outlet and water intake pipes. That's an impressive city size. I get yo above 50k and then get a bit bored and want to start again. That said there is the campus dlc which is fun.

Watched the first episode of the ITV version of the Ipcress File and I have to say they've done a rather good job, though they need to add the music from the film and cut down on the Dutch tilts. 4*

Morning Feeling well grotty today and a sharp pain in the left kidney region that wasn't there yesterday. Its probably from having the left kidney region that wasn't there yesterday inserted overnight. Should calm down in a few days. In other news I've been reading about high altitude nuclear explosions. If Vlad does 'go nuclear' hopefully he'll take aim at the local golf course, resulting in my swift and painless obliteration by instant vapourisation.

I'm ok with it. An EMP shot across the bows. You get all the thrill of nuclear conflict but with none of the burning, and the screaming ... I mean I wouldnβt want any NATO country to do it, but if Vlad was going to β¦ go nuclear, Iβd rather it was that way.

I remember my primary school teacher telling us about the imminence of nuclear war one day in class in the mid-80s. He said there was no point in worrying about it as the first we'd know of it was a missile appearing over the horizon outside the window, at which point we'd only have a few minutes to live. After that we did a bit of maths.

I was ok with nuclear war. I mean I assumed I would either be vapourised or compelled to live on my wits in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Not such bad outcomes. Then I read Hiroshima, by John Hersey. An extremely bad business.
