hi I woke up this morning with a book I once read on my mind: Death and the Penguin, by Andrey Kurkov. I couldn't remember the name of it. I just had these vague thoughts of a book based in Ukraine, about a man with a penguin. I also had this half dream that Vladimir Putin had tested a hypersonic missile over London last week. It hadn't been made public but it was now causing consternation - in my dream world. I'm overheating. I picked up a book by Andrey Kurkov on the way to work - Ukraine Diaries. So far so good. Good Preface / Publisher's Note. I really enjoyed Death And The Penguin. I would recommend it to any one who can read. |

I also had a vivid anxiety dream last night, about trying to buy a tram ticket in Edinburgh and not beinig able to understand how the ticket machines worked. I woke up quite troubled.

I travelled free on the Metro in Rome because I couldn't work out how to buy a ticket. The ticket office was closed and there were no barriers. I don't think they had ticket machines. Or ticket inspectors My guidebook said this was quite common. Apparently you could buy tickets from street vendors. |
